So technically it's called "the pitch tape" that Joss made to pitch the show to the network. I've never seen it before so thought I'd share:

Very cool vid, thanks for sharing, I've never seen it before either. Though I have to say it made the show look a bit cheesier than it actually is 🙂 (if this is what the studio thought they bought then I can understand why they deemed s1 'too dark')

But man, Charisma's acting is very sub-par in her one scene. She can't have prepared much for that because normally she's way better.
 
The way its filmed is very odd. I actually like it. The dialogue isn't that great on Charisma's part, that not being her fault of course, but I really love the filming technique and the music goes really well.

Angel looks broodier than ever, bless.

I think I have seen that before but I really liked seeing it here regardless. Man did Angel look good or what in that final scene? I loved the video but I agree it was a bit cheesy but everything is at times lol.
 
I saw this a long time ago at the first convention I went to, they played it when they were running late between talks. I remember thinking how different it seemed to the show we knew and how everyone seemed really bad acting wise. When I came home, I think I found out that those scenes were filmed while David and Charisma were still filming BtVS and they had to run out between takes and film, so they didn't have much time to prepare. Which, if it's true, is understandable that Charisma would be so much worse than we're used to seeing her, especially if her scenes were filmed during the Cordelia heavy scenes in S3.

I haven't seen this in ages but having seen it again I hereby declare that I require Angel to stand atop of buildings and tell me stories on a weekly basis. That is some good Angel.

That was a good watch thanks for posting. I liked the introduction to Angel as a character. The cheesy voice at the end was also quite amusing.🙂
 
I've never seen that! Thank you! I'm so glad it didn't start with Angel retelling his story. So lame.
