Unconvincing Actings

My collection:

• Dawn's "Maybe I'm not evil, but I don't think I can be good" towards Spike.
• Xander's face and eye reaction towards Spuffy in both "Something Blue" and "Intervention".
• Warren's reaction after he's been tied to trees.
• Cordelia's "rapture". And most times when she's sincere. Sorry but she has sarcasm carried with her.
• Angel's insecurity/fear played like sly-ness in S1. Angel's batman cameo in the end of "City of".
• Riley's reaction to Buffy's "death".
• Fred in S3.

Adam Busch in The Killer in Me. He's not a terrible actor, but when you pit him against HA, he looks bad. He did a terrible job at sounding like Willow, whereas AH did a terrific job at sounding like Warren.

Like @Blaze said Adam Busch is no Alyson Hannigan, and the direct comparison caused by the role reversing doesn't help.
Also Amy Madison in 'The Killer In Me' never really rang true.

-A lot of the S2 extras of the week, like the frat boys from 'Reptile Boy' or the swim team from 'Go Fish'. The extra's from S1 were actually better on the whole. Weird.
-Most of the Initiative soldiers in S4. Out of all of them Riley had the sparkling personality.
-The boy in 'Nightmares'. Also the Anointed One throughout S1.
-A whole bunch of Riley parts in S4. Too many to name individually but I'd point to his reactions to Buffy's slaying history in 'A New Man', large chunks of 'Goodbye Iowa' and some of 'Primeval' as prime examples.
-Uh, Ben in S5. All of it, but especially his rant about using drugs to keep Glory from emerging. Terrible.
-Clem's initial appearance in 'Life Serial'. He's too nice to pull off being nasty. Luckily he got friendlier later on.
-Cassie's speech in 'Help' was supposed to make me sad for her but I found it hard to care (*heartless swine that I am*) Plus her poetry was awful. Spike would cringe and shake his head.
-SMG's Buffy in 'Touched' isn't actually that good. She basically looks tired, sounds fed up and then gets a bit teary. She's somewhat better when she faces off against Caleb at the end.

Think mine comes contasy of TPOAN when he commented on how Jenny delivers a line to Giles in Passion, its something like, "I never intended to hurt you" and the actress delivered it in a very dry, dead manor.

 

[Samuel Reyes]

The acting from a lot of the extras was pretty bad. Too many to list.
Angel in Season 1. DB also had a moment or two in later seasons where his acting didn't quite do it for me; one that comes to mind is his delivery of the line in 'Doppelgangland' where he thinks Willow is dead and launches into a fit of unconvincing panting.
The Anointed One. Bad child actor.
Ben (Charlie Weber) wasn't too good of an actor, either. Clare Kramer could go over-the-top sometimes, but it worked since that was what was needed to play the character.
Anytime Cordelia tries to be super-sincere (sorry Charisma), though it worked in episodes like 'You're Welcome.' Really I think how effective her sincere scenes can be goes hand-in-hand with the writing.
Anytime Tara stutters. There's one instance in 'New Moon Rising' which is supposed to be sincere but quickly turns cringeworthy because of it.
Ashanti in that one Season 7 episode.
Buffy when she thinks Xander and Anya are breaking up ('Triangle') and starts crying. SMG is normally very good with these kinds of scenes but this was just awful. I actually thought she was kidding at first.
The woman who played Ms. French in 'Teacher's Pet.' Her accent...
Nicholas Brendon was a little lackluster in some of the early episodes.
George Hertzberg as Adam was just a bit wooden.
Kennedy and Willow's relationship, again depending on the writing.

Charisma all of seasons 3-4 of Angel. But especially, especially, the scene where she's "talking" to future Cordy in the mirror and then to Skip on the street as she ascends. I mean that is just painful to watch. I'm not sure what's going on with her there but even she could've done a better job.

On the idea that Charisma was bad from S1 Buffy, I think its just that the writing for her was limited. Once she was given more to do in S2 she really came into her own. Mostly she was good in Angel, but I do prefer her as a comic character, but with a smart/inderpendent edge. Towards the end I think she just lost the heart to act because of certain factors.
