1st of all, the world with nothing but shrimp is mentioned again! I think that's awesome.
The suburban hell is creepy, especially with Lindsey saying the most disturbing part was not the basement, but the perfect life they created with the horror just underneath it all.
I just read in a commentary that it's interesting that after Fred's death Angel, Wes, & Gunn start to appear more as their former selves: Angel wearing the leather jacket rather that suit & tie, Wesley unkempt & scraggly, & Gunn wearing his street clothes (I don't think we see him in a suit again).
Angel says that he should've never brought Fred from Pylea, but he couldn't have left her there, as a slave. He did the right thing at the time.
All of AI seem to put Fred on a pedestal.
