Unfair "Ripper" spin-off

this is what i think is unfair.The new buffy spin off,"Ripper" starring ASH,is to be launched in america first,on UPN,when it's set in england and it IS in england,i think it should be launched on BBC first,america is even getting the british spin off first!
then we have to wait 3-4 months to get the programe.
 
:O ... No way! ... I though it was going to be the other way aroung 🙁 I really don't like this, more d/loading involved!
 
for god sake, dont get me wrong, i like Americans, but they get EVERYTHING first, now they're getting an English show first?
 
well,apparenntly Joss Wheadon said it,it will be on UPN,the hone of buffy,and for "no angel" ASH is anthony stewart head-Giles
and the spin off is ripper,staring ASH in his own country,like "Angel"
 
That still doesn't mean the US will get it first. Do you have a link or a source you can quote? My understanding is that the BBC is producing the show, so I still assume they're going to get it first.

So, to the rest of you, don't freak out over uncomfirmed rumors! 😛

Its A SPIN-OFF. So It will probably be diffreerent then Buffy, just like Angel is different then Buffy. Angel is a spinoff of Buffy too.
 
Giles, is now set to start filming in May 2003 for a July 2004 premiere on BBC-2. It will air on UPN the following September.

Well, I'm glad "Ripper" is finally set for filming at all, and it's only fair that BBC gets it first.

A spin-off would be like Angel. A character from Buffy get's his/her own show, and ASH is Anthony Stewart Head, Giles.

I heard Alyson Hannigan will make a guest appearance in the pilot, and Whistler (from The Bargaining) will be a recurring character.

This is wonderful news, but where exactly is the source of your information?? I'd love to spread the word to my ASH loving friends but I want to be certain first.

whistler was cool,not as cool as doyle was,who eventualy took whistlers place as angels guardian.But seeing him again will be cool,and I do remember reading this about the spin-ff being on UPN

They were talking about a spin-off that would replace Buffy on the UPN, this spin-off was allready planned long before!
