Unfinished Plotlines

The Amy thread got me wondering...

Was there any plotline that needed more explanation or needed to be dug into deeper? (beyond obvious character spin-offs).

For me a huge one is Olivia. She just came out of nowhere, left just as quickly and is never mentioned again (not that anyone would want to discuss Giles' private life) but I thought her existence was really pointless, like the writers saw people weren't keen on her and then chickened out.

For Angel, they keep talking about WR&H 's plan for Angel in the final Apocalypse but then you never really find out what that is. (I know it's probably going to be addressed in the comics but it felt like we were teased with it the whole series and then never find out).

To me the biggest single plot hole was Dawn as the Key. So these monks go to great lengths in order to hide the key and to make sure that Buffy kept it safe, when they could just as easily destroyed the key, preventing Glory from ever being able to use it. Yet, after season 5, Dawn being the key is rarely mentioned, and when it is its just in passing. Another major plot hole is Hank Summers, he went from a caring but remote father to being utterly gone from his children's lives with no explanation for how or why this occurred.
