Does anyone listen to any music that has never been heard before? I'm looking for something new to listen too. *prepares to get murdered for these comments* All the music out there now is either one thing or another. The girls thing about how much stronger they are as a women and how they dont need their boyfriends. Rappers sing about how they are pimps. All boy punk bands sound the same. I'm not dissing this music, I listen to everything. Evanescence, Linkin Park, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, TaTu, Clay Aiken, Kelly Clarkson, etc etc. I'm just saying that all the music out now seems repetative to me. So, does anyone have any new music?
 
Well, I like Amy Studt. I don't think many people know about her but her song was featured in the promo for the Buffy episode Get It Done. I don't think she has an album, but that song is really good.

If I can think of anyone else, I'll be sure to tell you. Now I know how mainstream all my musical tastes are ... shame on me.
 
Oh! That's who that song was done by?! AH! I did a search on that song for like a week but couldnt find it so i gave up.

Try anything by Aimee Mann of the Magnolia soundtrack.
Honestly, the stuff that Michelle Branch writes, rocks my world.
and the Indigo Girls Kick ass, But i'm more of a hardcore NIN fan.
Blake likes his music Depressing! and Angry!
 
I listen to Michelle Brachs' early work, not the stuff she has out now.
 
I thought she had three? Oh well, I listen to the second one. Or first if there is only two.
 
I'm not really a big fan of music that's out right now, except for Justin and Clay Aiken. I suggest The Smiths, because in my opinion, they are the greatest band of all time. The lead singer, Morrissey, has gone solo, and his stuff is amazing as well, he's basically God in my eyes. The Cure are also really great, Just Like Heaven is a good song to get started on by them. Or some Depeche Mode, Enjoy the Silence is probably one of their best songs. Eh, I can go on and on about music. But those three bands are probably the most different from other music out there now.
 
I'm pretty into a band called Scout right now, I think that they're pretty great, kind of a throw back to the 90's, also a fan of older stuff.... That's not like today, maybe you should invest in some really great music from years gone by?
 
You can listen to...Country *makes a sick face and shrugs* I hate it.I think all the country guys sound the same...They all sing about love..Boring...But, you might like it.
 
Actually I think Amy Studt has an album...I love the lyrics to 'Misfit',vid is also cool..She is quite popular in the UK,some time ago she wanted to commit suicide etc..

I listen to Polish band O.N.A-they play rock/metal and I'm sure no one of you've eve heard of them😉
 
I'm gunna look up some of the people you guys told me. I'll tell you what I think.
 
Have you guys heard of a group called Moist they've been around for a while but nobody over here has heard of them my fave song by them is Machine punch through...

Also didnt Amy Studt do that song just a little girl that was a good song..

i'll have a look in my collection and see what else i have.
ooohhhh Robbie Williams you must know him i saw him live last year not really my type but his musics not bad.
I also love that song from the ep Harvest when Darla and the others are walking towards the Bronze i think its by dashboard prophets???
anyway enough of me rambling i could talk about music all day 🙂
 
Robbie Williams gave a concert here2 months ago..but I don't like him...Most of my classmates LUV him...
 
for ****s sake you say you like all music then list a load of the same stuff.

try lisening to somthing that isnt in the charts. that way the band will of formed themself, do music because they love and are more likely to be good because no one will book them otherwise.

Well, it's not new, but it's certainly different Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gilespie, John Coltrane etc.

Please do not swear on the boards.

I like Kane - Christian Kane's band.
Also Semisextile, and Stroke 9 and The Clarks. Both of whom Buffy Summers put me on to, we tend to have the same tastes so she just passes on stuff she'll think i'll like.
 
Stroke 9 I've heard of before. I think they are pretty good so I'll give them a shot.
