Unheard Music

I'm a big fan of a band called Flogging Molly. They're sort of like The Pogues filtered through a super-angry Rage Against The Machine sensibility with just a touch of goofy humor. The do mostly original tunes, but also some blistering versions of very un-politically correct Irish rebel tunes that make you wanna jump up and slap your mamma.

Check out Love & Rockets or the Bauhaus if you're into dark and broody music. They're old school, but they kick staggeringly large ass.

They are great!

I first heard them on the soundtrack to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. One of my fave's is 'Little Black Backpack.'

Well I'm sure the bands im gonna list are not 'unheard of' but I like them and so I'll share.

I have a lot of ones that have featured in buffy so they may not be new names.

Splendid - Took me forever to finally get the album 'Have You Got a Name for It' but when I did it was worth it. It's poppy but Angie has an amazing soothing voice. My recommendation is song 'Beat of You Blood'

Velvet Chain - Wasn't too keen on Strong off the Buffy album but my friend got their album and after a listen i had to get all their cds lol. My fave is moody Groove Music but they are all good. It's hard to describe them really, every song is unique, some stuff is very trip-hop, some is more poppy, some is jazzy, some is just spaced out. if anyones interested www.velvetchain.com have mp3's you can check out.

Jack Off Jill - Kind of like My Ruin, Lacuna Coil, bands of the like. Good if your a girl and into angst. Some good songs like 'Strawberry Gashes' and 'My Cat' is funny, genius lyrics.

The Vandals - I thought eveyone knew these guys as all of my friends do but they are not as popula as I thought. They are a lot like Nerf herder, do the pop-punk thing but basically just have a bit of fun and a laugh. I love the songs - 'My Girlfriends Dead' and 'F'd Up Girl'

Xoch - This girl is great, got he cd a a while ago and is similar to michelle branchy type catchy songs.

Liquid Soul - this is basically a acid jazzy band which i love to listen to as a change to everything else, they are great musicans.

I listen to JPOP groups. I dont think that may (non japanese people) really listen to them. my fave groups are RUN&GUN, w-inds., FLAME and Lead. i have no idea what the heck they are singing about but there music is really good! 😀
I have both of Michelle Branch's Albums and i think that they are really cool!! 🙂
