I liked this episode, except for Angel being a jerk to his Team. Paticularly towards Gunn.

Nina was really sweet, I detected some sparkage with her and Angel. Really feel bad for Spike and enjoy all his scenes with Fred. Want Spike completely restored soon, he will be a great addition to the team.

The werewolf suit was a great improvement, over the HOT MESS what was Oz on BTVS.

If you look back at the very first Oz/werewolf episodes, the werewolf makeup was very similar to Nina's. For some reason, maybe because it was easier to apply or more comfortable to wear, it was changed to the rather stupid one that lasted until Oz's final appearance.

Come to think of it, the later version Ozwolf looked and moved very much like the hellhounds, but with more hair. Maybe Oz, as the werewolf, got bitten by a hellhound and mutated. That w0ould make Oz a werewolf/hellhound crossbreed.

I just watched this episode for the 1st time ever a few hours ago.

I liked Oz's 1st werewolf Costume that he wore in "Phases" in season 2 of Buffy. But, I hated the one he wore in season 3 & 4 of Buffy.
 
I liked Nina since the first time I saw her. But I hate the idea that they ate werewolves. It reminds me of some people who eat food on naked women in some weirdly high class restaurant. I saw it in TV, though.
 
I'm not the biggest fan of horror movies so I'll try to stay away from that one. 😉 Just showing people eating (food) off a naked female has been shown before though. I know I've seen it but can't remember where. One of the CSI shows? The movie does sound like they ate the women though (but maybe I'm mistaken) so a bit different. 😛

I just saw "Unleashed"...it was a nice episode...introducing Nina...i can sense sth between her and Angel!Angel feels very protective of her
 
Just saw the movie 2012 (yeah, yeah, you're saying "Barry's gone loco - what does 2012 have to do with the "Unleashed" thread), well, it does. There's a scientist in 2012 that looked familiar. I KNEW I'd seen that guy before, not just the actor (John Billingsly) but the scientist role he played in 2012. So, after looking him up on IMDB and found he was in this ep of Angel. What's really cool is that his character in 2012, Professor West, is a pretty close match to the same character he played in "Unleashed", Dr. Royce. Dr. Royce is the guy at W&H that sang "Jessie's Girl' and conspired with the restauranteur to make Nina the, um, main course. I love spotting BtVS/Angel crossovers, but then, I'm weird that way.
 
The ending to this episode was so sweet with the five of them just hanging around and talking. I think it would've been a good way to end the series, after the final battle but I know it doesn't go down like that. lol

There was a scene like that in "Showdown In Little Tokyo" with Dolf Lundgren and Brandon Lee. A restaurant where the customers ate sushi off of naked ladies. Terrible scene. I must've watched it 50 times, and i couldn't find a single redeeming quality in it anywhere.
 
Again I'm just going to post what I posted on the idw forums:

What sets Angel apart from most television is the use of character and story arc. This episode does address some of the character issues and some are either so fast and fleeting and represented poorly or made obvious in the style a episode of the week type drama.

The biggest complaint of course is Spike. I suppose we can legitimize his actions but I find myself not liking him in the episode. As much as I can understand his bravado and the fear that it hides, he comes across as being more self involved and whiny in a way. Although his feelings about not wanting to tell Angel about his condition is interestng. I like it when they make Spike vulnerable because James plays it surprisingly well.

The episode however, if nothing else presents a perfect example of what Angel's mission was: helping the helpless and trying to connect with them, saving souls. As the annoying Eve said, innocents were dying all along and the powerful were always controlling things. The differences you make in people's lives is not quantative, it has it's own inherent value.

Angel should have learnt from this episode that a champion can and should fight for himself and find that personal connection. Unfortunately, he'll always be alienated from them because they don't know about Connor. As soon as Angel made the choice to take over W&H, he set a path of self damnation. The incorporeal Spike requires real help but Angel is failing to see that he can and should be able to help himself. He makes a stride but he doesn't really get there as his nihilism in Hellbound shows.

I felt for MacManus and I think Angel did too. He saw himself in him and understood that thin line of being a monster. That's the whole point of Angel's original mission. If you get personally involved you have a reason to fight against the beast inside. Is Angel lucky? Yes but because Angel learnt from McManus he was able to give Nina hope. Nothing restores the lives taken but the lives you do save mean everything to those people.
