I HATE Willow in season 6.Her selfishness and ressurection spell can not be forgotten.Basically I think Willow's character disappointed me by the time she moved on from Oz to Tara so quickly in season 4.It needed more time.

I hate Andrew.Maybe he will change in season 7, but I just don't like him.

I don't like Spuffy.I will never believe Spike is the right man for Buffy.

I like season 4 of Buffy.And I don't consider Adam lame, he is not just as interesting as other big Bads were.

I believe seasons 1,3,5 of AtS are best stuff of the AtS.

I believe Buffy should end with "the Gift".

"Spin the bottle" is better than "Tabula Rasa".

I hate "Dead Things", "Smashed" and "Gone".

Buffy looks more beautiful in seasons 1-5.

For me, Spike's motivations are doubtful. His "redemption" path started with a chip. What he felt for Buffy,the Slayer, was mostly obsession.He couldn't kill her, bite her or harm any human actually,so the next big thing that would make him stuck with her is lust.

I love Illyria.She kicks ass and although i cried in Fred's death I think Illyria was a nice addition and deserved more episodes.

And last but not least, BANGEL is soulmate kind of love, those two are meant to be together.If they were just a high school flirt and just a crush, they should have ended by season 3 and they would stay out of each others' lives. They kept being in each other lives' by meeting each other, being there for each other in hard moments and there are too few episodes in BtVS in which the name "Angel" is not mentioned. Angel and Buffy trascend everything.

I'll defend Dawn, Connor, Kennedy, Killow and the potentials. Not because they're always great. But because I think they get way more hatred than they deserve and they're intresting.

I like the later seasons of Buffy best.

I'm a Cangel but I don't think Waiting in the wings is an amazing episode.

Willow is my favourite character and even if I think the idea of Dark Willow is great I don't like the character. Vampire Willow is great though but I doubt that's a unpopular opinion. 😉

I don't like the episode Him. It has a few good scenes but I don't mind fastforwarding through a big part of the episode.

I like the idea of both The initiative and Adam. But it could have been done better.

Season 5 of Angel is my favourite.

Although some bad decisions I think season 4 of Angel is much better than it's reputation.

I'm a fan of Eliza and Faith is interesting but as a whole I'm not that fond of her on Buffy. She belongs in L.A.

. Fred and Gunn should have stayed together. I did not get Fred and Wesley. and see no chemistry between them at all.

. Willow got an easy pass for killing Warren, and should have been locked up. And her and Kennedy's relationship was ridiculous. For someone who was about to destroy the world over her grief, she sure moved on fast.

. Spike should have been dusted in season 4.

. Selfless should have been Anya's last episode. She was pointless after that.

. Angel and Cordy should be together. Buffy and Xander should be together.

. Season 8 is a big pile of poo.

. I don't get Clem.

. Every time the potential slayer Rhona appears, I get annoyed. She is my most hated Buffy-Verse character ever.

. Buffy's the best character. Gellar's the best actor.

. I think Joss ran out ideas and just started killing characters for shock value.

. I don't buy Angel and Buffy's no sex thing. They could still do stuff, just not all the way stuff. 😀 He has hundred's of years of skills, yet won't give her some happy time unless he get's his own. That's just wrong and frankly, kinda lazy. 😀

1.Yes, I also didn't mind Dawn and found Connor interesting. He was much more than a one note character, he was conflicted and didn't simply hate Angel.

2. Most people either prefer the earlier seasons or later seasons but my favourites are 2, 3 and 6 for very different reasons. Season 2 was the season that got me hooked, I mean Spike and Dru? Angelus??? How could I not be hooked?Season 3 in my opinion is still the most solid season and season 6 was my favourite thematically.

3. Although I enjoyed all of Buffy's relationships, I don't think she belongs with any of them, well not necessarily anyway. I celebrate the ships, they were great to watch but I'm more invested in Riley, Spike, Angel and Buffy all moving on from each other.

4. I think Cangel was good on paper and I was extremely excited by the idea of them being together but unfortunately, I didn't feel David and Charisma had much romantic chemistry.

5. Riley does not deserve the flak he gets!

6. I don't think that Buffy necessarily needs someone supernatural to date. Because, you know, why?

7.I hold Lorne equally responsible for what happened to Lindsay. I don't think Angel was the big bad bully who forced him to kill him.

8. Faith's redemption story kicks the crap out of all the others because simply, it makes the most sense.

9. I prefer Wilah to Fresley. I don't mind Frunn but the love triangle between Wes Fred and Gunn was more interesting than Fresley or Frunn.

Yeah. At the start of S3 I could see that Angel and Cordy were getting paired up, and I felt like it could actually work, but I think Charisma in particular didn't sell it very well. I'd blame the writing as much as the acting though - it was way too heavy-handed, and Fred's babbling about 'kyrumption' really grated.

Definitely. Lorne was quite capable of refusing to do it if he really didn't want to.

Yeah, it was just much, much better written than later attempts like Willow's and Andrew's. I'm also a fan of Angel's ongoing struggle to atone, though.

1. I don't hate season one
2. I don't like willow and tara together, I like Tara's character, but not her and Willow together, Oz was better
3. I don't hate the potentials, Kennedy yes, but when the show became more about the slayer mythology, I was really interested.
4. I don't like Spike and Buffy together, Spike should of stayed evil or at least not with Buffy
5. I wasn't completely satisfied with how the show ended
6. Buffy is my favorite charcter (not to controversial, but I feel she gets hated on)
7. I like OMWF, but it is far from the best episode

13. I think Anne is actually the most developed character in the whole show. She was in like four episodes, but she grew up immensely and actual devoted her life to helping others personally without just "saving the world"

I love Connor. I'll defend him til' the end of time. He's best in Season 5 but I like him even when he's a maladjusted little sociopath. I know he did some pretty horrible things but this kid had such a screwed up life and so many people messing with his mind. I understand why he did all the things he did especially considering the way he was raised. He didn't grow up with "If someone bothers you, walk away." He grew up with "If someone bothers you, slit their throat, cut off an appendage, and wear it as a necklace." He didn't see Angel for who he really was, all he saw was the murderer who ruined the life of the man he considered his father. But after just one day with Angel he was able to see the good in him and began to let his guard down and even have fun with him. Holtz saw this and used his death and lifelong vendetta to make sure Connor would be isolated from his father forever. All he needed was some love and stability and when he finally got it he turned into a really cool guy. Even when he got all his old memories back it didn't change him. He finally had the ability to think back to everything that happened to him and realize that Angel truly did love him and only ever wanted the best for him. No more Holtz brainwashing him in a hell dimension, no more higher being brainwashing him while disguised as the only person in this world he actually trusted, no more being pulled in a million different directions and never knowing what was right or who to believe. He had the memories of a happy normal life and loving family mixed in with all the memories of his past and with his newfound sanity he could see things clearly and was genuinely grateful to his father. He even risked his life to fight by his side in the apocalypse.

I know this is not an unpopular rant but I really REALLY hate Wesley's death. I was sad to see other characters like Fred, Cordy, and Doyle go but Wesley's death was the only one that really angered me. It was completely pointless and done purely for shock value. It wasn't believable or well done either. I know Joss has said that if there would have been a televised 6th season he never would have killed Wesley. So obviously the ONLY reason behind it was "Oh what the hell, why not? Let's kill off one of the most interesting and well developed characters I ever created. Just for fun!" No! Very uncool, Whedon. Although, the scene between Illyria and Wesley when she's "lying to him" one last time is beautiful. And when Cyvus Vail says, "Take your best shot, little girl." and Fred changes back to Illyria and puts her fist through his head is probably the coolest thing ever. I hated Lindsey's death too but I won't get into that one.

I'm probably the only one, but I just don't like Anya. I've tried and I just can't get invested in her character. 'Hell's Bells' is very good and very sad but if I were Xander I would have left her long before that. She can be really funny and I love 'Selfless' but aside from that, she's just there. Complaining when all of Xander's attention isn't on her. I don't understand how some people can hate Riley and love Anya.

I don't really like 'Smile Time'. "You're a wee little puppet man!" is one of the best lines ever, but the episode itself is kinda boring.

I really like 'Pangs', 'Doublemeat Palace', and 'Bad Eggs'.

I adore Andrew.

Oz is better than Tara.

My problem with Connor/Cordelia as a couple has nothing to do with the age difference or her being like a mother to him.
I'm not sure exactly how long the baby was around but it couldn't have been more than a couple months. Cordelia would have been his mother figure had he not gotten kidnapped, but he did and she never was. All she really did was babysit him a few times. Cordelia was no more a mother to that baby than Fred or Lorne was. In fact, Lorne did most of the babysitting so if he ever called anyone mama it would have probably been him. I hate Connor/Cordy cause it wasn't really Cordy. That evil thing was just using her body to manipulate Connor, hurt Angel, and dress like Elvira. Plus, whenever there was a scene with just the two of them they always played that creepy music.

Despite all that, once Jasmine gave birth to herself, I really liked that whole arc.

Also not sure if this one is unpopular, but I absolutely hated the brief Willow/Xander fling. It came completely out of nowhere and disappeared just as fast. They just needed a reason to break up Cordelia and Xander and they could have found another way. When he says, "Man! I wish I wasn't so attracted to you." it's just weird and unbelievable and awkward. Bleh, hate it.

I don't hate AS4, I actually like it so much more than AS1 and AS2 !

I don't have BS4, even though I'm a bit meh about the central Initiative arc, I see where Whedon was going with this, and I think he did a pretty good job. Plus this arc didn't take a lot of episodes in the season, so the rest is really enjoyable.

I don't believe every single thing of every single Whedonverse episode is part of a master plan. I think incoherences clearly exist, and when I see one, I don't ask myself "Hmm. Why did Whedon do that though he had done that? I must be missing something!" but just shrug and hope that one day a show will have its big book of trivia to avoid such mistakes.

I couldn't care less about Spike. I think he's an overused character that the writers forced upon the rest of us just because he was popular with many fans (mostly for his looks, at the beginning at least).

I used to be neither Bangel nor Spuffy, until I saw "Angel" (the show I mean) and really warmed up to this character. Now I believe it's really obvious (please don't throw stones, I'm so tired of it) the whole show shows Buffy and Angel are kinda meant to be together, and will always love each other, even though their time is not up yet.

I thought Cangel was sweet but unnecessary.

I love Fred but don't especially like her with Gunn nor Wes. I think that here too it's pretty obvious Wes & Fred had something really special, but Wes's behaviour towards Fred creeped me out too much for me to really appreciate Fresley.

I don't hate Dawn.

I hate Andrew.

I don't hate BS6, it's one of my favourite seasons. I don't understand why people trash it so much.

I don't really like BS2, I think it's kind of easy. I mean, for the time, it was great ; but watching it now, in the "golden age" of tv shows, I don't think there's anything more to take from it. Except for bashing Twilight by showing the fans how Joss had; already; done; it; and quite better I might add.

I love BS7 and was shocked to see people didn't.

I do agree with you but everytime I see the floppy disk drive...I literally laugh out loud..and I can't take him seriously. 😀

The one thing that bothers me the most about BTVS and ATS, every couples fate. Its like when someone gets together, they are happy for like 2...3 episodes...then BAMMMMMM! Something completely unhappy and unexpected breaks them up. I want someone to have a happy ending. They deserve with all of there hard work. GOSH!! I get sooo angry thinking about all these characters finding love and getting their hearts ripped to pieces. WHY JOSSS WHY???? I especially feel bad for Buffy. She is getting so sad and pathetic in Season 8. At this point, I don't really care who she ends up with. As long as it will last and she will be happy!! (I do lean towards Spuffy though lol)

Woah. I'm pretty sure you're me because I agreee with everything you said (apart from my favourite seasons are 3, 5 and 2)

Didn't agree with these two. I haven't seen S5 of Angel, so can't comment of Illyria.

As for Bangel, I thought it was fine in S1+2, but it was annoying and drawn-out in S3. In fact Angel in S3 seemed to just be hanging about, waiting for his spin-off to start. I thought that they were both better off without each other. Angel was much, much happier without Buffy in his life - you can actually see him retreat into dull angsty guy when Buffy turns up in IWRY. I think that Angel was Buffy's first love, but he wasn't her true love or soulmate. They just weren't that good for each other IMO.

My controversial opinion? The Buffy/Faith relationship is actually a tragic love story. Don't try to deny it.

Oh, and I liked Spike in S4/5 but hated him after that.

I don't really know the mass opinion, but for me S4-7 is SOO much better than S1-3. Truthfully I like Angel, Firefly, and probably even Dollhouse more than S1-3.

I absolutely love Riley. 🙂

Jasmine is probably my favorite Big Bad. Although, all the Big Bads are pretty close together on my list of best Big Bads, and I truly love Caleb too, but is he really a Big Bad?

I love The Pack. Like a LOT.

I like Illyria, but I like Fred quite a bit more. A lot of Illyria's story arcs kinda bored me... :/ I just wanna fast forward through them.

I don't hate Connor like... everyone else. I actually really enjoyed his character in AS4.

I seriously have trouble watching Tara's death. I literally think about her for about a week. Even after watching full run-throughs.

I watched S6 before any other seasons, and when I watched S4-5 I couldn't help but notice how bad Amber Benson's acting was, and how much better she got going into S6. I still love scenes like in Hush, Family, and The Gift.

I absolutely love Xander (like pretty much all other Whedon characters), but some of his lines are God awful... Especially in the High School seasons.
EDIT: And sometimes his humor is REALLY out of place. It just doesn't fit in some moments, especially in the high school seasons...

It grosses me out when Jenny acts all sexual around Giles...

Am I the only person who finds Buffy/SMG EXTREMELY skinny. I mean, it doesn't really bother me in S6, but in S7 it's honestly hard not to be kinda grossed out every time she's on screen.

I didn't like Lorne or Faith in their first few episodes. I found them annoying. Don't worry, they grew on me loads and became two of my very favourite characters, and in retrospect I enjoy their early appearances a lot more. It just took me a while to warm up to them.

I prefer early-season, nerdy, clumsy Wesley to late-season, dark, badass Wesley.

* I always thought the Cordy+Angel romance sucked. Because to begin with they had this beautiful fantastic family kind of love for each other which I really think transcends any kind of romantic love. When they were supposed to get together it was forced and awkward and though I love both characters I thought that was all just cringe-worthy.
Angel should have remained the surly big brother to her bratty but treasured little sis

* I loved the thing with Parker. I think it was something Buffy really needed. just a regular asshole, we all meet 'em and learn girl

* The initiative was good idea in theory but nah, it just didn't work for me.

* Even though I prefer Angel I like Riley. Riley as a person and Riley with Buffy.

* I love Spike but I think that his character took a bit of a nose-dive through season 5, not sure why. Season 2 Spike is the best.

* I love Connor. I think he's one of the most interesting characters on Angel.

* I think the whole concept of Wolfram and Hart is one of the best things about Angel. evil lawyers yay!

* Darla is my favorite character of the fanged four. She's just amazing.

oh realized that I also think that Wesley + Lilah was way more interesting than Wesley and Fred. they were cute, they were, but I don't know. I just thought Lilah brought out something more real in Wesley, something he didn't necessarily want to come out.

I really,really can't stand Buffy. She's my most hated character, she always seemed so whiney and "oh i'm the slayer only i can do it" then moaning she was all alone.

I loved,loved,loved Spike and Dru. I HATE,HAT,HATE Spuffy. They destroyed Spike, the chip was the beginning of the end for me with him.

Angelus is better than Angel, but I was let down by David's Angel season 4 performance.

I prefer Oz and Willow than Oz and Tara.

In some episodes I honestly wanted Buffy to die, she annoys me that much.

I hated Riley and his totally pointlessness. The initiative as a whole bored me.

I think Buffy should be alone, not with Angel or Spike she destroyed them. Probably should be with Riley since I dislike him.
I prefer Angel over Buffy.

Gunn and Fred seemed forced to me.

I think episodes like "Hush" "The Body" and "OMWF" are totally over rated. Not my favs at all.

I also think "IWRY" is a totally over rated, snooze fest.

I love Illyria.

I only really ship Anya/Xander and Wes/Fred. other characters I feel neutral towards.

Faith was a better slayer than Buffy, even though she went all evil.

Dark Willow is over rated, Glory is amazing.

Season 1 and 5 are my fav Angel seasons, One purely because Angel still looks yummy and 5 because it has Illyria.

I don't have a fav Buffy season, Although I lean towards season 2.

Faith was better on Angel, I wish she'd joined the crew.

Darla and Dru should have got more screen time.

I wish Angel had gotten back together with Darla and gone evil.

I wish Dru and Spike had gotten back together.

Season 4 Angel, I've only watched once. Only because I find most of the episodes boring and unmemorable.

Confession: I'm not the biggest fan of Bangel. I don't hate them, but they're def not on my top list of couples on the Whedonverse. However, I have to admit that a couple moments when they're together definitely make me smile a fairly embarrassing smile.
