I'm in the process of developing a virtual series, written in script format like I've found other members here to have done. So far, I've got three main cast picked out, one of which is a canon character. Also, the setting of the series will be in Detroit, Michigan.

The three main characters are;
Cedric - A half-demon police officer.
Lillian - A Slayer police officer, Cedric's partner.
And
Kate Lockely - Chief of Police in Detroit.

I was wondering if there'll be an interest in this series? I don't want to go through the entire process of creating a story if no one wants to read it.

we cant really know if we'd be interested until you give us some outline....give us half the first script.....then we can give you our opinion.

I would suggest you go ahead anyway...someone is bound to enjoy your work......i mean ive read some god awful stuff that some people have liked..NOT that im saying yours would be awful....i like Kate..she could be interesting......

There's always someone who will read it, if only you yourself and your staff... which I should recommend you look for real hard... good staff is rare.

In general, you'll find that somehow people will come across your virtual series, either through your website (you have one?) or through boards you post on. (That's what they do in my case.) I don't know how, but the right people just by chance end up at the right place I spose. Generally speaking, people are really appreciative and nice, though there's of course the occasional rotten egg but they're not worth paying attention to. Nope, I wouldn't worry about an audience if I were you.

Say, you got any kind of premise for your story?

Yeah...above is right....good 'staff' are hard to find....ive read a few seasons in the script form and let me tell you they were terrible......so IF you do open it up to others....make sure that you check work first....one 'rotten egg' writer brings down the whole team.

And as for critisism....if someone makes just comments....makesure you heed them...you dont have to change your fic....but they may be able to help you AND your readers....

I think what I'll do is write a "˜pilot' episode, like most T.V. series do and if there's enough interest garnered off of that "˜pilot' then I'll create a website and start looking around for other writers.

As far as stories go, yeah, I've got a few down. This is an idea that's just recently come to me but I've been thinking about it a lot since it did.

Cedric's a half-demon, although he doesn't know about his demon side yet. He's calm, collected and thinks before he acts.

Lillian on the other hand is the complete opposite of Cedric, she's a Slayer and she knows it, she's brash, reckless and headstrong.

Kate, having spent the last three years of her life trying to figure it out was hired in as the chief of police. She'll take Cedric and Lillian under her wing and sort of help them out until Lillian receives a Watcher and that's when very interesting things will start happening.

Is all that what you had in mind when you asked about a premise, Ally?

More or less yes... just kinda the thing you'd find in the TV guide describing the show. I think it has a lot of potential.
