Is the gypsy girl supposed to be the same one from "Five by Five"? Or just another gypsy they found fit to kill?

They mention Angel bringing her there, but the other one was brought by Darla.

And if it's supposed to be the same one, then why did they cast an actress so different?
 
Yeah I get the impression it was someone different also... it was probably supposed to be in the same time period though...
 
Definitly another one. For the gypsy Angelus got cursed for, it was 'just another girl' for him, she wasn't supossed to special, ergo its only logical that they show more girls like her.
 
Yeah, I just remember they mention in "Darla" I think that Angelus killed the family of the special gypsy, so in conclusion, it's just another one.
 
Personally I think it could be the same gypsy, in Season 2 Darla, Angelus doesn't kill the Gypsy family it's Darla, Spike and Drusilla that massacre the group in retribution for Angel being cursed with a soul (although Spike and Drusilla don't know that).

In Untouched the country is the same, the period appears the same, Darla did bring the gypsy to Angelus (see in Five by Five) and nothing in Untouched goes against that, in Five by Five we see Angelus drink from the inside of her leg but he could have stopped and thus the seen from Untouched plays out. In my opinion it could be the same girl the favourite of the gypsy clan or it could be another gypsy.
 
I've always assumed it was supposed to be the same girl. All the evidence and information we know points to this being the gypsy girl that led to Angel's curse. The only thing that goes against it is the fact they cast a different actress and you could easily assume that was because the original one they used wasn't available.

Mutant Enemy is admittedly usually very good at getting the same actors to play the same roles, even for minor characters, but occasionally it isn't possible. I'd say that in this case it was definatley two different actresses playing the same gypsy girl.
 
i don't think it was her. and it's not a case of unavailable actress, it's just not her. i don't think it's a gypsy at all.
1) the girl was blonde, the legendary gypsy girl from 5x5 wasn't (obviously what's with her being gypsy lol).
2) the gypsy girl wore a simple dress, a maid's outfil. the other girl's dress pointed on middle class, not only that, but a more modern style while the gypsy's dress was simple and more country-like.
