About 15 years ago I would have jumped at the chance to discuss Tolkien with other people. As I got older I slowly lost the love for his world. When they made the films it totally destroyed the last vestiges of love I was holding onto.

The silmarillion was my favourite. That Fà«anor, eh? Who'd have thought I'd be captured so perfectly in fiction.
