I think I have everything finished now, so if anything does not seem to be working or you notice broken images, please let me know.

I still have to fix the gallery and the links, so those things won't work just yet.

We'll update the faq shortly, but here is a brief overview of things.

- We now have the shoutbox at the bottom of the main page.

- We've added a forum for Reunion and removed the one for The Unit since Amy is off the show.

- You can now see the number of people using each style in the style chooser.

- Post now will only be marked as read when you've actually read them, rather than them all being marked read when you leave the boards.
 
I really like the shout out box.And now it's easier to navigate the site with the buttons on the top.Very good job.Thanks Buffy Summers.
 
It looks really good... some functions are really nice and some... well, they're all nice really !!
 
Yay! I'm the first one to report errors.

1) I can't make a user page. If I got to the User Control Panel, I could click on create or edit user page (or whatever it was) but I'd get a message of not sufficient privileges but my user page would get listed. Then I returend to the User Control Panel and I could no longer access edit user page. 🙁

2) The content of the second menu-bar changes. Sometimes it's

User CP | FAQ | Members List | Calendar | New Posts | Search | Options | User Pages

3) The link "Tales of the Slayers" in the top menu-bar links to the forum not the list.
 
Nope, it changed when I was trying to work with the User Pages. Seems to be stable right now.

4) I gave you karma for your first post here, but it doesn't show.


Oh and the User Page is already working 😀
 
That was a hack from the old version - this version does not support that hack.

Similarly, the list was a hack from a previous version. Until we get it working I changed the link to point at the forum.

Hm, it's ashame about the reps not showing, other than that this looks very very good and it's just so much easier to find stuff at the main page. Great job! 😉

It was a succesful hunt... found 3 more things that may not be glitches, but at least requiring making note of 😀

5) My Topics and My Replies are actually searches so they too require 30s between using; is this intentional?

6) In the second menu-bar, there are links to both User CP and Options but under the arrow next to the latter is a link to User CP as well... the first User CP only saves you one click... isn't this link maybe a bit pointless?

7) If you wanna add an event to your private calendar, you need a moderator's approval... in what way is it private then?
 
- Yes, they are searches nothing more.

- Depends on how you look at it. A lot of people don't take the time to figure out what all they can do, so having it plainly say user cp in the header can draw attention to it. Most everything on there can be found somewhere or other if you look for them.

- I was thinking private calendar events were not enabled - this site isn't a day planner. If you want a private calendar, buy one.
 
I don't use the calendar here; I did buy myself one 😉 Just stumbled across it... and there you go... found out I can add events even though I'm not supposed to.
 
You are always changing... keeping us on our toes. This is my first time one since the change (I was wondering why I couldn't get on a couple days ago)...

Now - I wasn't sure what the user pages were, so I clicked on a button to see if I could find out and got a response which said I didn't have the appropriate permissions (or something like that). It now seems I have a user page anyway but I'm not much the wiser as to what it is...some sort of blog? Anyone care to enlighten a confused old gent?
 
They appear to be a personal blog/shout box page. My suggestion is to wait for the FAQ to be updated on all the new features, and that goes for other things as well as the user pages.

Once all the upgrades are done it takes a bit of time to get the FAQ's in line with the new board.

If you look under the link on the main page that tells you if you have new Private Messages it also alerts you if you have new reputation comments.
 
Userpages are your own custom page on the site.

They should be working correctly now - I'm not getting any errors with my test account.

Links are now working as well.

Yeah, but I can only view my own... anyway. I guess whoever made the hack in the first place will maybe make a new one for this new release. Also, there's no way to check back ALL reputation comments, is there? Only the last 5, right?
