Update Upgrade

So I am going to try to do the upgrade today, but my internet connection seems to be going very slow with the uploading so I may put it off until Monday. But just so people know it's coming.

I'm still in the middle of things but I've turned the board back on in the interest of keeping it open as much as possible during the upgrade. So please bear with my mess while I work.

Is there now no more height and width restriction on sigs? Cos you see, I'm okay with the make them as wide as you want, but can we get the height restriction back? Cos if everyone is going to take really long (height wise) sig pictures, it's annoying. Cos there will be sigs that are way bigger than the posts, if you see what I mean.
I like that they moved down like that, though.

I'm really happy with the update becuase it seems to have solved my problem! All the drop down buttons have come back and my Karma box has gone back to normal! 😀

From wiki, we were 3.7, now 3.8

Why do you think it's nicer? I thought it looks rather stupid and it leaves a huge empty space between the actual message and your sig.

..led us to believe the sig change was an intentional decision and not an aspect of the upgrade kinks; hence the comments associated with the sigs.

Clearly tell us things aren't finished and those of us who have been around (which includes some of the posters in this thread) should, by now, know that Buffy Summers tells us when its complete.

agrees: I know, and you're forgiven because you're new, but others who have been here through numerous upgrades should know better!

I hardly think i need to be forgiven. I'd imagine welcoming feedback during a forum update, complete or not. It helps establish whats working and whats not during a transition of change... if anything thats helpful no? The concept of constructive criticism does seem to be lacking on this board (evident in my 'suggestions' for the board).

Anyway, again i find myself in a tiresome argument, if you could call it that. Love ya EB 🙂

I SIMPLY asked for a little bit of time to get things up and running and suited to the live board before I had to sort through a hundred responses of "this looks weird". I DON'T think that is too much to ask, and if you would CARE to look, you will see that I invite constructive criticism once all the kinks have been worked out.

As for thinking that what I said meant that the signatures would be staying as is, that is not what I intended. Left aligned signatures (as my test ones were) look cleaner in this format; signatures as they were formatted for the old layout do not. It will take me a little bit of time to find a better solution, hence why I asked for time to works things out.
