Username Changes?

With the recent upgrades (which I think are really neat, for the record!), I`ve noticed that the "former usernames" feature has run off on us. So, because of that, I thought it may be cool to keep a running list of everyone's former/current usernames (and maybe post a little blurb saying why you changed it, for interest's sake)?

It's just a thought anyway! I don't know about you guys, but I do a double take for a good couple weeks after a member changes their username! I keep thinking "Hey, that looks just like _______'s signature" :silly:

Reason for Change: The boards were down a couple years ago for one reason or another, and my account was deleted in the process. I went to re-register and found out that underscores weren't allowed in usernames anymore (because they look exactly like space's in BB, understandably!). So, the squiggles were born!

There is also another "Angelic¸Slayer" registered, so I wanted something to differentiate myself from her, in case she ever pops back in 🙂

Reason for Change: Well I didn't think too much about what my username could be when I joined. I just wanted to get through the registration process so I could start posting. Now that I think about it, I'd rather just be called by my name, rather than something buffyverse-related. Plus I don't think I would make a very good watcher.

That's because the system wouldn't let me get my name back. I had to have Buffy Summers fix it... so I had to be "dani" until it was fixed. But that wasn't personal choice, it's because technology is not my friend.

I've never changed mine. I remember trying to come up with something badass when I joined...and now it's evolved into my entire online self.

Hopefully when you see 'Mesektet' you think of me. 😀

Back when I was a mod, I considered for a really really shrot while to change my name to a character name. But the once I wanted (like Willow/Willow Rosenberg, Tara or Fred/Winifred) were all taken. I guess it's a good thing I didn't change it though, I'm eponinethen everwhere else as well, and back in the days when I was active at crazy many boards, people always knew it was me at all those places etc.

Reason: Just to clarify first, I think I had a couple other names but I don't remember what they were.

Anyway, I first changed because the boards had a tragic day and my name was lost in the mix. Then, once I picked a new name, I couldn't find one that settled right. So Bored of the Dead and I were discussing name options and we both happened to be listening to Kryptonite by Three Doors Down and he suggested that I change it to Kryptonite (teasing me that I was his Kryptonite) and I did. I've had it ever since.

I'm probably never gonna change mine, though... I use InsaneMystic or its Latin equivalent, Mysticus Insanus, pretty exclusively in the net. My MSN addy is quite different from it, however (I like to keep that one a bit private).

When I first joined I wanted my username to be either Rogue_Slayer666 or Dark_Slayer666 but it said they were taken so I just typed in what I always type when I sign up for something. shadowcay. The reason for Rogue_Slayer666/Dark_Slayer666 was because I think Faith's awesome and I just like saying 666, also it's the devils number😀
