so now that the vacations finally arived (at least here) what are your wishes, plans or simply rotine that your gonna fo now?or just tell me your dream vacations, i know that mine will be pretty boring, but at least no school yay!! :: party : ::dance:: ::rolf::
 
Im not gonna be doing anything exciting..just moving house is all...Ill be really busy helping my parents so i wont be able to go out or do anything fun with my friends 'specially since our new house is an hour and a half drive away from my current house....which means Im basically gonna be stuck with my sister (and parents) for the whole two weeks vacation I have.lol
 
School holidays - sigh...

Actually, Mrs P and I try to avoid being off work at school hols time - all those bloody kids around! 😉 We're off to Greece again in about five weeks time...
 
I only have one week as my school is wierd and insisted that we have a week off in february... I live in a ski town and they're convinced that the students need a "winter break" in wich to go skiing.... Consecuently, my spring break is only one week long.

Greece, huh? I wish that I could go to Greece... Alas, we can't all be as lucky as Mr. Pointy.

I don't know what my dream vacation is. I think that I would either really like to go somewhere exotic (cliche, I know) and really green, or possibly somewhere with just a natural, simple beauty... I've always wanted to go to Prince Edward Island.

Mr. P, I'm envious here! I went to Greece, ahem, many years ago and absolutely loved it...the food, man! And the history, art, architecture, etc. Plus I got to see all those places that I'd only read about in the myths...Corinth, Argos, Myceanae, Salamis, and of course Athens...Are you doing the whole tour, or just staying in one place?
 
I'm about to have the perfect vacation actually, first about a week at Skorpen, an island where you can rent a cottage/house whatever you wonna call it, and me and my parents are staying with some good friends of us. It's always so beautiful there, and peaceful. I'm serious, you don't know what the word peaceful means before you have been on Skorpen! Not a car around, only sea and nature and friends...It's paradise! It really is! And then I'm going to London. Which I'm also really looking forward to! I love England! So I'm going to my two favourite vacation places in a little more then a week! 😀 How much better can a vacation get?
 
I only get a week of to, but i don't get no freaking ski week. What a crock! What a Load! What a... wait I get out for summer a week earlier than you kindred. HAHAHAHA! I'm just kidding around with you. Hey You guys i'm thinking of going and sitting on the couch and not doing a freaking thing for a week. Ya I know I have a pretty boring vacation planned. Actualy i may go rock climbing, so.

Kindred: no, no plans at all.. i had to cancell my finalist trip yhat was to benidorm in spain over a week.. ::crying:: oh well this year is going great for me.. first i didn't go to the prom and now no finalist trip.. damm
oh well guess i just gonna stay home and do nothing.. err and study for the exams..

When we go over there we tend to go to the islands - Crete (several times - it's a favourite), Corfu, Rhodes. This time we're off to Zante aka Zakynthos.

I totally agree with you on the history and mythology thing. We've seen all sorts of interesting archeological sites. The palace at Knossos in Crete being my particular fave - it being the origin of the Labyrinth/Minotaur myth.

AAUGGHHH! I never got to Crete, and I really wanted to!!! I'm so envious my head's gonna explode!! But I know you'll have a good time...after all, you and your best friend are going...(you are taking Mrs. P, aren't you?). I know I'd rather go with Mrs. Dwarf than anyone...
 
Yea, Chris insists on coming 🙂 I can't think of much that I'd want to do without her...

We're really looking forward to a break as we're both having a fairly fraught time at work at the moment - what with staff cuts, office closures and impending wholesale decimation of the UK Civil Service 🙁

Man, public service employment is a tough row to hoe...everyone expects service above and beyond, for less pay than the same job in the private sector...and they feel they can abuse you just because your pittance is paid by taxes...and politicians balance their budgets on your back...that just sucks. Enjoy every nanosecond of your holiday, my friend...knowing you, you've earned every one!
 
I only get a week off too 🙁 My family and I are going camping up north for the week. I can't wait because there is no school but I kinda want to stay home but there is nothing to do here anyway. My dream vacation...I have no idea. I've only been to a couple of places but no where outside of North America. But I really want to go to Hawaii, London, and some other place that I can't think of at the moment.

see school thinks we needa get out before june 7th (orginally may 28th) but i can't remember the last time going to this school that i got out after the 7th. wait 7th grade we got out the 8th.
they leave no room for snow days. which is asinine. its pennsylvania. and it always snows. they leave two days for snow days.
we go back the 27th of august. after summer but...

I shall sleep for my two days. the half day doesn't count cuz i've class so...i take classes at night, after high school, at the local community college. i couldn't even take a nap.
i shan't sleep all day, but as much as i can. waking up early, bah.

i do hope everyone enjoys how ever long they have, whether they go somewhere or not. hopefully the weather is good for the plans...i shall enjoy my sleep. 🙂
 
I'll have Easter break in from Wednesday..I've got huge plans..To sleep,read,eat,watch Tv,read and sleep...🙂

We will, rest assured that we will - Chris is about to move into the "counting the days" phase. I'm still on "counting the weeks" - 'til our break that is...
 
enjoy your break Mr. Pointy.. you're very lucky... the fartesth place i went i think it was Madrid.. but some day i would like to go to egypt, NY, or brasil..*keeps dreaming*
well this has been one of my most boring vacationsever.. all my friends went to spain or with their familis to their homecitys.. this is so unfair.. then my pc was broken, so my last week was spent mostly sleeping and watching tv (thank god for cable at least ther was 1/2 shows were good..)..
normally in the other years in easter i went with my family to their hometown in alentejo, coz there is a kind of party, with horses and stuff, and lot of things to eat (that the only good part).. but this year my mother got sick so we stayed home..
i am so missing summer vacations.. i love beatch..i leave very close to it ( 1bus away) so i praticly live with my friends at the beatch in the summer.. with luck sometimes we go to algarve for some days.. but this year i've got exams.. so i'm only free after july.. so i've got only 1month to enjoy..damm ::bsad:: ::huh::
