So did anybody have any valentine experiences he/she'd like to share?

Well realy no, as the very word is banned in my flat (female flatmate, guy she was seeing, nasty text message...it's all messy) and I'm sticking to teh excuse that our post doens't come until 6pm or later, so I wont know till there's no one around anyway. Still know there isn't going to be anything though. Lindsey Mcdonald is still repressing that he loves me 😀

Well, it's not actually a real Valentine, but it was through a Valentine card that it happened, so I'll share.

I have been looking for my long lost best friend, I have known her since I was 7, and we use to live next door to one to each other, but due to us both moving we lost contact 7 years ago and I had no idea where she was living now.

A friend of mine came round yesterday and asked me to look something up on www.friendsreunited.co.uk for her as her puter was playing up. Anyway, I decided afterwards that I would register and have a look around at my old Primary and Secondary schools, for any familiar names - I had registered previously but for some reason my name was no longer listed.

When I checked out my old Primary school, there was my friends name - I couldn't believe it, after all this time I had given up hope of ever finding her! As I wasn't a full memebr I couldn't even email her, and the only way to let her know that I had found her was to send one of their site Valentine E-Cards. 😀 Anyways, she emailed me this morning and was as thrilled as I was that we have found each other again - trust me we used to be inseperable! We spent over 2 hours on the phone this morning and she is hopefully coming to visit next week, as she is now living in North Wales.

Like I said, not an actual proper valentine, but hey I still love the girl ya know - best friends and all - I even cried when I got her email I was that happy! 'lol'

Other than that, no cards tho - not even off the hubby, mind you I always tell him not to bother as it's a waste of money 'lol' I'm sure he'll show his affection in other ways. 😉

My day hasn't been very exciting, though i did get a card in the post this mourning with no name on it, which I'm very pleased about because i never get valentine's day cards from anyone!

I got two friendships cards, and I was supossed to get a rose, but it was deliverd to somebody else in my class with the same name ... au ... anyway a friend of mine told me that in it she had tried to match me with an other friend, so I had some things, not too much though!

being single is crap
i worked all day, then babysat the children of a couple who went out and had a romantic dinner
*i want to ROT and DIE*
well not reaklly, but i watched the hairy bird and i LOVE that line, plus it put me in a less anti-valentines day mood!

It is kinda harsh indeed, being single on Valentines day, inside it hurts a little!

I'm single and i got loads of stuff. I got 2 bouquets (sp?) of roses one white one red. A cute fluffy teddy bear and 4 cards! 😀 😀 I'm happy!

I got 2 friendship cards and alot of candy! Ugh, I'm feeling it now... Besides I prefer to call it 'Singles Awareness Day'.

Nope. For me Valentine's day is the worst day for single people.

I'm single, by the way.

Completey correct, it is a crap day for single people. 🙁

I guess I could share my Valentine's gift with everyone. My boyfriend had me seriously convinced that I wasn't going to get anything because he thinks it's a stupid holiday, and that was fine with me. But when school got out, he was outside waiting for me, and I couldn't find my car. He gave me a rose and told me I was going with him for awhile. So we went and gave someone a ride home, then he took me back to the school's parking lot, and there was my car with over 100 balloons in it. On three of them the was an I a heart and a U. Another one said that there was something for me in one of them, so we went through them all, and popped them, and inside one of them was a necklace with a bear holding a heart shaped stone. It was so sweet. I really hadn't expected anything. I was definately surprised. Then later, it was our school's winter homecoming dance, so we went to it, and hung out with all of our friends. It was the best Valentine's Day ever. I hope you enjoyed that.

WOW, I thought that only happened in the Movies, thank God, there is still some romance left in this world!

I sent my best friend in Pittsburgh a bouquet of red roses...she was so excited! of course, she never caught the hint that I wanted to grow the friendship...if you know what i mean...

Oh and last Friday, my married friend sent me one...which confused me because you are not supposed to be receiving valentines from your married friends...

Maybe I just have that effect on women...
