Been discussing this with Tom and thought it would be interesting to see others views.

The prospect of Buffy going evil wasn't really explored and i would have liked an episode showcasing Buffy as a villain.

Some might argue she was a villain in "Normal again" but she didn't know what was going on and what to believe during that episode.

What particularly interests me is the possibility of an episode showcasing Vamp Buffy and Angelus.

It would have been sadistic and extremely hot but also fascinating. SMG in her portrayal of "The First" was fantastic in portraying utter evil, it reminded me of her role in "Cruel Intentions" and showed she could be extremely convincing as a bad girl.

To see her terrorising Sunnydale along with her lover would have been an interesting dynamic which for a standalone episode i think could have worked really well.

Thoughts?

now that would be interesting!!! But she wouldn't be our beloved Slayer anymore!
It would have been great to see this side of her just for the fact of it is so not Buffy. I wish we could have seen an episode like this because Sarah can play a Villain very well 😉

Vamp Buffy and Angelus...it would have been just amazing. Sarah's acting as The First was convincing but giving her a role like bad vamp would let her explore what to do with the character more...to see Buffy's personality as an evil vampire..AMAZING! Plus, the love/lust with Angelus, I can't even think of it... it would be so entertaining and fascinating. It'll probably never happen for real but to think of it, what an evil couple!! Better then Sprusilla.LOL

As much as the idea sounds interesting, I just have too high of an opinion of Buffy to even think of her this way, and I'd think it would be a cheap way of creating a villain. Yeah Dan, I mean it sounds cool with vB/Angelus, but I just cannot be convinced. Not with her. :/

(Sarah's acting as the First was awesome though, and her character in Cruel Intentions was so manipulative, sadistic, and totally convincing. 🙂)

Its her acting as "The First" and "Kathryn" in Cruel Intentions which i think prove how good a concept Vamp Buffy could have been. Sarah has proven that she can play a great villain. As "The First" she was brillant. Lines like "do it, take her" which she says to Spike were so damn right evil and her facial expressions were perfect.

Exploring the concept even more i would have liked to see Vamp Buffy interact with Xander, Giles and Willow. I imagine her being able to hurt them physicially but also emotionally, the more i think about the idea the better it sounds, i wonder if it was ever considered for a standalone episode like "Primal Slayer" suggested.

Very cool possibility Dan eh ;P Also VAMP Giles would have been awesome!

When I've read the title of the thread, only two words came to my mind.. HOT and AWESOME!

As we saw, especially in Cruel Intentions, and in bitchy Buffy days, she can act evil very good. And we established that DB's Angelus is awesome!

I think it could have been a great idea for a standalone episode, but they wouldn't have been able to do the VampWillow/VampXander storyline then as it would have been to similar. It wouldn't have bothered me to lose VampXander (he did a shit job trying to act bad) but losing the awesomeness that was VampWillow? Wah!

In an ideal world though, it would be a really fun story and I think Sarah definitely could do it!

It's so weird that you put up a post about this... I was just thinking about this today and have been working on a wallpaper based on this concept. 😉 I think if Buffy had ever been vamped she and Angelus would have made a pair for the history books... Forget Darla or Drusilla. Buffy would have been the baddest vamp bitca anyone had ever seen.

Totally!
I love the idea of "When the Slayer is the vamp herself, what would you do?" 😛 It would work well in a 4-episodes arc. Like in Ats S4, when Angelus was back, I felt like "Ha, now the guy of the show is evil himself." It's interesting. 🙂 Also, I don't need Faith or Kendra. I wanna see the Scoobies deal with it. I wanna see what they would do without Buffy. You know, like in Bargaining 1&2, when they're on their own.

I kind of love the idea of Vamp Buffy and Angelus together, would've been ruthless I bet. But for the sake of the show I agree that it would have been best portrayed in a "Wishverse" kind of scenario. Still, I would have loved to see it. (There used to be lots of great fanfics about it out there)

I look forward to seeing the wallpaper. :smile3:

By the way is there any record of a slayer being turned into a vampire? You think it would have happened somewhere down the line.

its a lovely idea, but it would be very close to Darla & Angelus, I see Vamp Buffy acting very close to Darla, but with the added more violence. it would be fun, but won't be very unique. what would make it different than Dangel is that its in the modern days.
still, I'd love to see it.

I think it wouldve been different. Buffy would be Angelus' equal, if not going over his head as head honcho. And this would be our first time as seeing a SlayerVampire, so we dont know how that would affect Buffy. Would she be able to retain some of her soul? Would she be uber powerful? and whereas Darla started out as showing Angelus her ways, it would be different with Buffy/Angelus. And well buffy would never let Angelus boss her around.

Darla didn't allow herself to be bossed around much though...

A few weeks ago I read of a slayer that got vamped, but I cannot remember the link or whether it was canon or not. She was supposedly written out of history by the Watcher's Council and considered a disgrace to the slayer line. I remember it saying something about her retaining her slayer strength too, so yeah I think it's safe to say Buffy would be pretty powerful. I'll try to look for it later.

I'll never be on the vampire-villain-Buffy bandwagon (actually just Buffy as a vampire in general), I think I had my fair share of it back in season one's "Nightmares". Which, now thinking about it, I think WAS a possible example of a souled vamped slayer. She was a lot more powerful after being vamped, I remember her taking out the uglyman in no time compared to getting her butt kicked when she wasn't.
