Vampire Fiction

I've read Dracula, some of the Anne Rice books, the Twilight books, and some random vampire book that I don't remember that well. I recommend them in that order. Dracula is a world of awesome. Some of Anne Rice's books are really very good (while others are astonishingly bad), the Twilight books at least keep you reading, and the last one was utterly forgettable.

I like the Blade movie-trilogy, as well as the new TV-series.

I also appreciate the Hellsing manga, and its OVA.

I do tend to watch a slightly higher than average number of vampire-movies. Not because I love vampire-fiction as a genre, but just cause I'm curious to see how it holds up to B/A... most of the time the comparison is pretty pale.

Speaking of being 8 years old, and to restore some respectability to this post(lol).

I read these books when I was a kid:

Vlad the Drac - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They're a bit deep, like the sea. And one can derive more meaning from the books than one could while being on acid and listening to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Intellectually Vlad the drac, and the series of sequels that follows are just masterpieces of literary art.

Plus they're about an ickle vampire, so cute!!(Not as cute as the penis llama being rode by mr bananaman in my signature, but its close!)

I read the vampire chronicles and the first three twilight books. that's all. ii do own pretty much every vampire film...hope no one tells me what happens at the end of breaking dawn! i hate spoliers...lol

speaking of...
have you all seen the original buffy the vampire slayer movie, written by joss? it's utterly ridiculous but very funny 🙁 worth watching.

i'm putting dracula on my hold list. as soon as i'm done reading "reading angel" (which i reccomend as well)...

The vampire diaries... They are IT to read. Really. They were before Twilight.
The scenario is kinda Buffy-Angel-Spike. Two vampire brothers wants the same girl- Elena.
Damon- is the darker vampire (Really Spike like)
Stefan- is the good vampire who tries to keep away from his vampirism (Angel written all over him)

Both brothers have a history together that makes them enemies. They once fought over the same vampire girl, and now it's Elena's heart they compeat for.


It's such a great series, and I can't imagine life without them
