We already know that on Halloween the vampires don't "vamp". But what about other holidays? How do you think they take them? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Indifferent? Or... do they celebrate them?

Suppose it depends a little bit on how old they are as vampires and where and how they grew up as humans 🙂

For ex. I would think that a vampire like The Master would be more in to lost rituals and archaic traditions than Christmas, but a vampire like Harmony would probably go on 'celebrating' the holidays the grew up with as humans. (Of course celerbrating might be redefined as 'carnage and mayhem' but y'know what I mean 😉)

Didn't Spike "vamp out" in "Halloween"?
Anyways, We know that they kind of celebrate Valentine's Day from "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered". Other than that, I don't know.

I think vamps are probably indifferent to a lot of them, and they probably don't celebrate ones that are rooted in religion or spirituality, such as Christmas or Hannukah. 😉

haha! this reminds me of anya's description of santa to dawn, that it's a myth *that* it's a myth... of course when he comes down the chimney he doesn't so much bring presents as disembowel children but you know... same idea. haha!

Back in the '80's, on the old "Happy Days" TV show, someone once asked Fonzie why he never went out on Saturday nights. He replied, "I never go out on amateur night." That's pretty much how Buffyverse vampires must look at Halloween, as a bunch of wannabes and fantasizers out pretending to be the real thing. Almost certainly, the real things couldn't watch the antics of the happy meals on legs without laughing out loud, which would have made stalking almost impossible. But that's the only night of the year that all the self respecting creatures of the night take off. It's open season for the other 364 days of the year.
