Let me ask you this. If you were a vampire, living for centuries, you're bound to have a lot of sex. But would you always choose to sleep with the opposite sex? I don't know about you, but I'd get awfully curious after the first decade or so. This has never really come up on either Buffy or Angel. Though one recent episode of Angel springs to mind. In "Sould Purpose" we see flashbacks of Angelus, William and Drusilla. I know most people have already seen it so I wont bother discribing everything. Remember when William walks in on Angelus and Drusilla having sex. After their confrontation Angelus states to William that he fancys the thought of ruling the world with another man. I'd say he was coming onto him. My friend and I had a pretty long conversation discussing this. We both believe that it would be very un-realistic to assume that Angel, or Spike have never slept with one another or have never had male lovers. The same goes for Drusilla and Darla and every other vampire that has lived for quite some time.

The point of posting this thread was not to exploit Angel/Spike shiperness. I'm thinking realistically and want to discuss this with those who have open minds.

I could see that Darla and Dru would sleep with eachother, because well, that happens alot with normal women. It is not far fetched to believe that Angelus and Spike at sometime might have gayed it up and there have been a whole lot of Spangel innuendos in "Destiny" and "A hole in the world", sometimes they do act like a nagging couple. Makes perfect sense to me.

I agree, I think that they really know each other... In several senses of the word. They also have an old married couple vibe to them.

As for Darla and Dru, I think that they must have experimented with all manner of things. It's just not possible for someone as sensual as they are not to....

I'm totally with you all on this. I believe that the older vampires, especially the world/time period they came from, definately had thier fair share of homosexual incounters. In fact I'm SURE of it...especially Spike and Angelus...oh yeah...I just wish they'd have a Spangel reunion tour...that would be an AWESOME series finale...::drool::

Rayne: I'd love to see that kind of final😀!

Do I really have to say what I think about this topic?...I totally agree with all of you guys!...except on the part of Spike and Angel hating each other...

LOL! Yeah, well, you know what they say when a boy picks on you...he really likes you! Those boys are so in love! 😛 Well, there is such a thing as TOO much history I suppose...but I think that they both need to work through a few unresolved issues really...which is what a lot of Destiny was about I think. But that's going off topic...yeah...they boned...😛

Well, if I'm getting curious about things now, and I'm only 20... I'm sure I would be more curious after 100 years or so... ::change::

I would definately get curious after all that time, I think that Dru and Darla,Spike and Angel all may have experimaented with each other in the past. For example, Spike and Angel hate each other right? Well ya only truely hate someone when they have touched your heart in some way so therein lies the proof lol

Even if Angelus and William did sleep together then that doesn't mean there is sexual tension between Angel and Spike. Angel is a different person from Angelus. Just like Spike is different from William (even if he doesn't act like it). But I can see Angelus, William, Darla and Dru having one big gangbang with a few dead bodies thrown in for good measure.

Bisexuality is very common in the general world of Vampiric fiction. If anyone has read Anne Rice, you know what I mean. Yet, on Buffy and Angel, there has never been a gay female or male vampire. My guesses for why they choose not to explore that side of vampires would be the fear of loosing viewers, mostly the male audience if the character happened to be male. I'm not saying everyone is like this, but there are those who can't handle watching a show with gay men. Though having a female gay character is seldom a problem because it's considered "HOT". I mean, who hasn't imagined Willow and Tara getting it on?!

I disagree with this topic, and plus I know the reason why Joss Whedon has never had a gay vampire couple. Beacause in the Buffy/ Angel brand of vampires, vampires cannot be homosexual. Do you know how I know? Because if anyone has the season 4 dvd of Buffy the Vampire slayer. You will know that there is special feature on Spike. James Marsters in that clearly says "Guy vampires don't bite guys, they take women victims".
Okay so in the Anne Rice brand of vampires if I am correct vampires can be homosexual, but not the Joss Whedon Vampires

Um....Angel bit Penn-and
that guy from the episode "WHy We Fight"
, so your theory is unfounded. James does not necessarily know everything there is to know about the WHEDONverse. Hell, sometimes I get the feeling that JOSS doesn't even know everything....

I think that James was saying that as a general rule, a male vampire will choose a female victim over a male one.... That's part of the sexual erotisism in it, but all rules can be broken.

Jacklyn said it,Angelus sired Penn, which means vampires can sire/bite guys,...I don't think Angelus cares if it breaks the rules...remember Angelus?,the guy who didn't want to follow orders from the King of the Vampires?,.yeah, that guy,...well,he does what he wants,he doesn't care if it's wrong ever for a vampire...why do you think he is so famous?,he isn't a regular vampire....Anyway,we don't even know if Liam wasn't bisexual,he wasn't exactly a good boy,his behavior was a bit,..punk...the guy was a disastre,he liked being with girls,.that's true....but he also liked driking a lot, maybe he got drunk and then,...well,I'm not getting into details,...but,well,my point is...Liam was human and he didn't care a bloody rule,..Angelus,well,he cares less than Liam....when 'Dru' sired William(I don't think that way),the boy was just a child,he didn't have free will(just then, when he was just sired,..childe,too young...a baby vamp😛),..so if Angelus wanted to be with him, nothing was gonna stop him-I totally think Angelus is bi...After a couple of months,years...I think William became bi too,..I mean, who wouldn't?!,we're talking about Angelus here!, *HOT*
I don't even doubt Darla was bi,...Dru,well...she isn't pure and innocent anymore,..I'm sure she'd slept with her greadmother/child
About another vampires,...well,it depends,...if the vamp is old enough,I'm sure he'd want to know how'd feel to be with someone of his own gender.
I'm not saying every vamp is bisexual....vampires are like humans...some humans are straight, some are gay,...it all depends...When you become a vampire,a demon takes your body but it doesn't get your soul...that's true,..but vampires aren't like robots that walk like idiots crashing towards the walls....a soul is,..well,we all know what it is,...Angelus doesn't have a soul, but he has his own personality,...which in someway depends on his previously personality(Liam)...in Doppelgangland Buffy tells Willow that a vampire's personality has nothing to do with the human personality, and Angel says 'well,if fact...that's a good point',..it's obvious that he wasn't gonna say that, but he couldn't tell Buffy that in someway he was still Angelus. No Angel said Angel is nothing like Angelus,I don't agree,..Angelus is always there, deep in...Well,I'm going off topic,..I was talking about the personalties,..vamps have their own personalities,..and free will,..yeah,free will...it's not like you're a vampire and you have to be evil (Spike Btvs-Harmony Ats),..you have free will,...if you are a male vamprie and you wanna be with guys, tehre's no one that's gonna tell you 'no,it's wrong',..you do whatever you want, that's how it works,...execpt if your sire is around and he doesn't want you to do soemthing.
Vampires can make their own choices, just like we,humans can,...if we wanna become gay, who's gonna tell us 'no'?(besides mom and dad),..nobody,...is it wrong?,is it good?,..well,it doesn't matter,..it's the way we feel,...I think there are bisexual/gay vampires and curious vampires, there's a difference between them...maybe a vamp just wants to know how it would be,..he,well,experiments the 'feeling',.if he likes it,well,he likes it,if he doesn't, he doesn't,...but I don't think after 200 years a vampire wouldn't feel the desire to know how would it be to be with another criature if its own sex.

While it's true that Angelus is always bubling under the surface that doesn't mean Angel is anything like him. It just means that he has a second will inside his head from time to time. You only have to look at the two to see they have almost nothing in comman.

Now about the whole Angelus / William sex. I've thought about it today and something occured to me. I don't think Angelus and William even got on. Ok, William was sired in 1880 by Dru in London. In the season 5 episode Destiny we see William first meet Angelus. At first they seem to get on great. Later on in the episode we see Angelus and William laughing in a chariot. I think William is still wearing the same clothes as he was when he first met Angelus so it couldn't have taken place that long after their first meeting. They are still getting on great. Now cut to later when William catches Angelus screwing Dru. He gets angry and starts hiting Angelus. He says that Dru belongs to him. Now seeing as William doesn't like Dru to sleep with other people I don't think he would want to either. He said himself that Dru is he's destiny. Anyway by the end of the scene William attacks Angelus again. Doesn't look like they kissed and made up then. The next flashback we get of Angelus and William is in 1900 (Angel - Darla, BTVS - Fool for Love). In both the flashbacks we have (one among a riot and another in a coal mine) Angelus and Spike (as he is called by then) are still going at it. They still arn't getting on. What I'm saying is that I think after William caught Angelus with Dru he hasn't liked him. Judging by these facts Angelus and William didn't get along nearly all the time they were together. So they both hated each other. Why would they sleep together?

This isn't even a question in my mind anymore. Frankly, there's too much subtext to have any doubts anymore! 😀 I'm sure that at some point in time all four of them had sexual encounters with each other, whether consensual or not. Vampires are extremely sexual creatures by nature, and vampire families are, well, quite incestual so to speak....
