I guess I just had a few questions regarding the Turok-Han. There aren't going to be any concrete answers, but I think it'd be fun to share theories, discuss them, etc.

1) Do they "reproduce?" If so, how do you think they would go about it? Obviously regular vampires bite, suck, and have their victim suck right back -- what about the Turok-Han?
2) How did allll of those Ubervamps end up in the Hellmouth anyway?
3) Are there any left? Did the Ubervamps only exist in Sunnydale and its Hellmouth?

The Turok Han, from what we saw (granted, not much, but that's all that we have to work with) appeared to be all male, so my guess would be that they are incapable of reproduction.

2) How did all of those Ubervamps end up in the Hellmouth anyway?

This falls in with my theory about reproduction above. Think of the Turok Han as worker bees and the First Evil as the queen. Whenever it needs new workers/fighters, it simply creates as many as required. As to how they sustain themselves, as in, what do they feed on, probably nothing. They're created to perform a particular task, then they die, just like worker bees do. The ultimate cannon fodder.

3) Are there any left? Did the Ubervamps only exist in Sunnydale and its Hellmouth?

If the Ubervamps are indeed the worker bees and the First Evil is the queen, or an equivalent, then, assuming that Buffy and her people forced it back into whatever stage of reduced potency that it was in before Buffy was resurrected, there would be no further need of Turok Han at this time, so once the last worker from the original nest died out, there wouldn't be anymore produced. And, yes, they only existed around Sunnydale, specifically in the hellmouth, because that was the location of their queen and its "hive."

WOW, great topic!

Okay as far as reproduction goes, those are PURE vampire demons. Any human they infect would be tainted. (Example would be to look at Anya's speech about pure demons during Graduation Day... I believe pt 1). I have a weird feeling that it's possible for a Turok-Han to infect a regular vampire though, and in that case, they'd be a bit more pureblood. I may only have that perspective because I've seen Blade II and there was a breed of vamp which fed off and infected both humans a normal vamps. If you guys haven't seen the Blade series, I'd recommend it. Really bad ass.

2. It's quite possible that after the Scythe "Slew the last demon who walked the earth" that the Turok-Han were in hiding down below. OR it's also possible that the Hellmouth isn't considered to be "walking the earth" but only being in this dimension. On that note, I have a further query about how they THRIVED down there! My only explanation for that is possibly that the Turok-Han were able to sustain one another with their own blood, OR that they also feed on demon blood (assuming there were other demons camped out in the Hellmouth, or who emerged from *insert hell dimension here* and into the Hellmouth as a means of attempting the enter our dimension)

3. Are there any left? Yeah, probably. That was an EPIC number camped out in one location, I'll grant you that, but there must be other locations and/or Hellmouths which would house such creatures. I know that on the show there is a Hellmouth in Cleveland, but just because only two were mentioned, that doesn't mean there aren't others. Quite honestly, I would expect there to be one in Africa or the Middle East at the very least. That area (Egypt, Mesopotamia, Sumeria) is the cradle of life, so it stands to reason that the earliest doorways into our world would crop up there. There might also be one somewhere in Asia I would say as well, because civilization thrived there as well after the first migrations of humans.

I think this would've been something great to explore had we gotten a season 8 of Buffy (that was televised and that wasn't crap) something like Willow doing a spell that'd let them all know where the hellmouths are. There is so much that could've been done to let us know some more stuff about the lore of the show because as it stands, we really don't know much about the lore of Buffy, why everything happens etc. We also don't know what creates a hellmouth or why they're even there in the first place so it'd be very interesting to know why they are around.

I understand this theory SORT OF. The only problem with it is that The First Evil didn't create them from what we've seen in the show, he/she/it whatever, was only brought out because the seal was opened. If the seal hadn't been opened, I doubt we would've seen what we saw with the ubervamps. One of the best things about BTVS is that they always give us something new to discuss about. Where are the other Hellmouths? I imagine there'd be one on every continent, including Antarctica. (My reasoning for this is that we'd never been given an idea that a Hellmouth needed to be around heat to be created, so there could be a hellmouth in Antarctica.)

If there is a hellmouth in every continent, that would mean that there would need to be something inhabiting it, because for a habitat to thrive, there needs to be something inside it to help it thrive or to build it to thrive. There could be all kind of things in there, hellhounds (and not those little wussy things from The Prom), big demons and stuff, it could be so interesting to see more pure demons and it'd be so fascinating to see some of the other Hellmouths and if they were worldwide, it'd be so interesting to see each hellmouth in each of the continents. (I'm dreaming, I know.)

Definitely! It would have been really interesting to see how the Hellmouths were created and by whom or what. Big evil manhole covers don't just sprout up from the ground, ya know? I'm sure the ability to get into this dimension would have been possible without them, but having a big mystical X on the map to go to would make the task simpler and much more available for the general hell dimension populous. It would be really nice to know a more complete demonology and lore for the Buffyverse. I'm enough of a Buffy freak that I wish all of the magick and lore books that Giles and the Council has were real. I mean... I know you can get the props and all, but I highly doubt that all of them have full, legitimate documentation inside the pages.
