Does anybody else absolutely love this movie? Hugh Jackman, Kate Beckinsale. Kate looks so amazingly hott in this movie + that costume. 😀 Dracula's three brides are also gorgeous.

But aside from the hottness, I thought this movie was brilliant! Great plot, score, characters, sets, storylines, SPFX were amazing, and ideas. Some people say it was the worst movie ever, but I think that is ridiculous! Anybody else looooove it?
 
I've not seen it yet. It was on TV over christmas and I recorded it, but I recorded so many movies I'm not up to Van Helsing yet. Would you recommend it, though? 😀

I hate it. Loathe it. Honestly, I cannot stand to watch it, and I watch alot of crap movies but it is the crappiest I think.

Have to agree there. To call this movie tripe would be an insult to all the tripe movies. Insipid, uninspired, made me wish I weree watching Episode 1.
So, I guess that's a NOT recommended by you? 😛 I like getting others opinions on movies. 😀 Though, I usually go ahead and watch 'em anyway.

It starts off good enough, but then it just goes downhill VERY fast. It had potential but they just threw everything they could into the excuse of a plot; a trite plot at that.
It seemed like the ugly lovechild of xXx and those old Dracula meets the Wolfman type movies.
 
Oh my god I would definitely recommend it, it's one of my favorite movies ever. Up there with Valley of the Dolls and Stand by Me! Don't listen to him! Watch watch watch it! 😀

I mean, you can like it and all, but to say it's right up there with Stand By Me? Seriously? Dude.
 
Yea I feel the opposite. Yes it's up with Stand By Me, different genre obviously but still, one of the best.
 
Do not watch this movie.

I have seen a lot of bad movies and this was up there with the best of them (or the worst 😀 )

I actually fell asleep during this movie, something which i have never EVER done for a movie before, only good thing is Kate who is lookin smoking!
 
Nah, sorry the movie's a mess, it both sucks and blows. Dodgy effects, dodgy acting, dodgy story. Gotta agree though, Kate's looking hot.

It was no it is UTTER POOPY in my opinion (sw)

My taste is spicy (sw)

and you know my "get it"/"dont get it" on taste.... yours is just as bad as everyone elses in someone elses eyes...

just watch what you wanna watch... as poopy as it may be to others.
 
I enjoyed it. I wouldn't place "Van Helsing" up there with "Gone With The Wind," or even "All Dogs Go To Heaven II" but it's a fairly pleasant way to spend a couple of idle hours.
 
I liked some frames from this movie - the picture, but I was boring with all that vampire lore. I prefer old 'traditional' cinema-vampires. Richard Roxburgh as Dracula rather pleasedme, though. Ballin Vienna was ok. Whole story... Nay, couldbe way better,
