Van Helsing.
If you've seen Van Helsing, then you probably know that the previews were better than the movie.... Maybe this is just my opinion, but did anyone else find that Van Helsing wasn't as good as the previews showed it to be? I was a bit dissapointed when I went to see the movie, because I was expecting to be on the edge of my seat throughout the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie, but not as good as I expected.....

I haven't seen it and have no aspirations to do so. It's another "Hollywood tries superhero/fantasy" thats going on at the moment. Considering its been in development for many years and has gone through many many rewrites its no wonder the storyline is apparently so jumbled and piecy.

I see exactly where you're coming from. I hadn't really planned on seeing it and going was one of those "spur of the moment" things.... I've seen many better movies, but it's not my place to complain.....

i thought it was really bad!!! especially Dracual talk about over acting!!!! it was like he was a panto actor the whole time i was waiting for him to say "oh no Im not" and the theater to shout back "OH yes you are!" lol I did however like the effects even though they were over the top but the ending was so i dont even know what the word is, it was jsut so ugh
so graphics were good. and I liked the music. the baisic plot was ok. but over all they got a lot of historic things not wrong cuase its all fiction but just non of it connected to any other resources. like dracualr and babies mmm thats a new take on things lol and it was just odd to me how they got all the major horror movie characters involved in one movie cuase to me Im jsued to them being in one movie deadicated to them and them alone not all of them in one big movie.

Personally, I loved it (see the caritas thread)! The friend I went with loved it to and I have heard a couple of other good reviews in discussion. However, I have also heard a lot of people disliking it too...a good movie friend of mine hated it! He said it was not scary enough and too much action. I thought it was great...

I really really liked Van Helsing...so few people did, and I suppose I can see why. The script wasn't that good and the accents were corny. But it's all part of the fun! And the action was awesome. I love Count Roxula (Thank you Cleolinda)! I jumped a bit, and the worst part for me was I could never remember which Bride was which. Bleh. It was also nice to see a new "species" ,if you will, of vamps. I was getting so used to the Whedonverse vamps, if I saw someone walking around in game face in my town, I probably wouldn't notice ^.^;;
