[Variety] 'Angel' won't see a sixth season

ok, so WB picks up charmed and not this? Ok, I am a charmed fan, but the show has stunk since Julian McMahon left and they get a 7th season?

You know take a couple of days and think about it, it's not the end of the world, life is not going to end, and the actors will get other jobs. will I miss the show? HELL YA, but in the grand scheme of things it was a great show, written very well, and Joss Whedon has one hell of a future ahead of him.

Like it or not David was eventually goinng to leave, so the end was coming. I hope now that Buffy comes, and Dru comes back.

TV now sucks. I will probably now not watch anything ever again, except for reruns on the weekends...

How can they think that Angel is worse than all the stupid, idiotic reality shows. That's all we are going to have on TV in a year, I'll bet you. Reality shows that make you dumb by watching them.

I don't think that they actually believe that reality shows are better. It's just that they are amazingly cheap to make, and even if the ratings aren't as good as a show like Angel, the cost to make the show still makes it so that the crappy reality show brings in more money. It's all about money, and no-one seems to care about telling a story anymore. The reason why I would watch TV is to lose myself in a story.

As for my take on reality shows. Hey I already live my own life. I really don't give a crap how some loser prima-donna's on tv live their lives. What's next...reality movies? Are people not going to make fantastic story driven films like Lord of the Rings anymore? Instead are movie companies gonna make movies about some loser who works down at the taco bell trying to beat out some hair stylist for a million bucks.

I'm disgusted by the WB, and I have now added them to the list of networks that I simply don't watch. I guess all that is left for me on TV now is "Hockey Night In Canada".

O I totally agree with you. I was a fan of charmed but after that 100th episode it went downhill. A 7th season of charmed...i'll kill myself.

Has anyone started up a "Save Angel" website? I've already signed the online petition and sent out emails, but I feel like there's more I could/should do...
 
Yup, we need a save Angel site. Uh... I am going to make some backgrounds for the Save Angel Cause.

That's great! I'd love to collect a list of everyone and thier links that are helping out in the campaign to post on my site.

Thanks for the offer! I think this place would be a great harbor for those wanting to save Angel.

Thank you guys! Now I'm going to start posting feverishly on other message boards! No spamming and they don't even have to be Buffy/Angel sites, but I want more people to sign it! Let's get these petitions full of sigs!
 
Crap...

This really is a shock. I've had a good day/night so far, then I see the news of this cancellation. What is the WB thinking? Okay...7th Heaven, Charmed...why will they continue? What makes them better than Angel? Without Buffy and Angel, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I wish the show would be picked up by another network, but I can see how that won't be likely. I still have hope though. I just can't believe this is really happening. Way to ruin my four-day weekend. 🙁 Thanks, WB! I hope they suffer so much once Angel's gone.
