I'm not sure who's in the wrong; my best friend or myself. I hate how she acts with me; when it's just her and me, she'll act fine. Okay, she's usually really, really loud and I'm the shy one who says almost nothing, and when we're together she's moody and refuses to talk a lot, but I got used to that. However, when we're with friends she willingly leaves me completely on my own, even though she knows I have a whole complex about that; if I say something she disagrees with, she'll have a go at me.
She always acts really strange around me, and when I call her on it she gets really defensive, and acts like I'm just going crazy or something. My other friends see it, though she's like the ringleader of us all. I don't even like most of the people I spend lunch times with, but I try and be nice and stay with my friends, especially since I don't much want to end up sat completely alone (Though I did last week, neither she, nor anyone else, noticed).
It's just getting to me worse than usual; not only does she act so bratty, immature and stupid around me, but I always feel overshadowed by her. She tries to act so superior to me, and okay, if I get a better grade than her, which I do a lot because I'm higher classes than her, I tend to brag about it; but that's only because she does the same with me. Admittedly fighting fire with fire'll do no good, but when I get A*'s in English and gets Bs and Cs, I like feeling better than her, for once in my life.
I shouldn't be like this, and I certainly shouldn't feel like my best friend is controlling, and doesn't much like me; but that is how I feel, and it's really getting me down.
