Re:

I'm left in a confused state right now. I know, I know...what's new, right? A close friend tried to explain this to me but I guess it just didn't settle properly. WHY would a woman who slept with someone else's husband (KNOWING he was married), then think that he would be faithful to her after his wife divorced him. I find that more than a little niave. I mean, get a clue honey if he did it to one he's going to do it to another. I guess I don't have much faith in the fact that people change. People are molded the way they are. So please honey...Get a clue.

I'm so seriously sick of my husband expecting me to clean this entire house by myself on top of taking care of the kids, the dog, doing the laundry, cooking our meals, and being a full-time student. Not to mention the work I do for the forums I'm on! UGH!

You already know how I feel about that. *hugs*

My father does that. I have to do all the housework, basically take care of my sister, go to school, take care of the cat, and make the food. He says he shouldn't have to do anything because he makes the money.

I'm sorry for your situation. And that argument is so stupid.

That's my husband's argument, too. He's like "But I have a job". I'm like "UH, I have one too- that I don't get paid for and don't get time off from! So suck it!"

I have the same argument with my husband. I work 11 sometimes more hours a day and come home to make dinner, but because he has a manual labor job and makes more an hour than I do, he thinks he's superior. He still expects me to clean up after him, and my daughter every day and spend my few days off cleaning. I'm on vacation now and there was a honey-do list on the counter before he left. We literally had that argument yesterday. See, he gets 5 months paid off in the winters because they can't work in the snow. So he spends the winters with his feet up and I still have to work 11 to 12 hour days and come home to a messy house. But during my 2 WEEK vacation that I get a year he expects me to spend cleaning. I think the "women in the kitchen" stereotype is still imbred into their male minds sometimes. Grrrrrrrr. Breathe. Grrr. Sometimes I want to take a shovel and beat him with it and tell him "How's THAT for manual labor for ya?" Lol....I'm okay. Really.

I had The Talk with my hubby a few minutes ago. He came home and I had been cleaning the living room and kitchen and he was like "Oh, it looks good in here- bout time you did that". I went OFF. LOL
College boys are so damn stupid.

"I really like you and want to date you, but I'm transferring." Gee, thanks for that!

And then there's the one I know has a thing for me but either his frat or his fear of commitment or his immaturity keeps him from doing a damn thing about it.

And then there are the literally hundreds of guys that will say literally anything to get into a girl's pants. Why do they think this is some kind of male college student stereotype that they have to live up to? It's like a checklist. "Be a douche, check. Lie to girls, check. Brag about lying to and sleeping with girls, check. Act like nothing matters, check. Don't take school seriously even though my parents are paying for it, cheeeeeeeck."

UGH.

It takes a lot of work to find one of the "good" ones but when you do it'll be worth it.

I'm sorry, honey. If it helps, it does get a little better as they get older. And as Toby pointed out, some are better than others!
Today was my first day of 8th grade. *Wonders if she's the only one on BB who's still in Middle School* So, I planned to get up at 6; unfortunately, I had to read The Hunchback of Notre Dame for HOURS and go back into The Call of the Wild to collect some quotes. So it was a while before I could turn off my light and get some rest. Buuuut, I ended up having an insomnia night, and it probably took me an hour to get to sleep. So, on account of being overly exhausted when my alarm went off, I ended up waking up an hour later than I had planned- Which equaled a speedy shower, barely any hair care, a small breakfast, and rushing. Ughhh.

But that wasn't too bad. Now, let's remember the reading part, that had practically single-handedly caused this catastrophe. So, I get to school. My schedule, in one word, is awful. All of my classes are at opposite ends of the school, so I have to run back and forth. Whilst carrying huge binders, folders, books, a graphing calculator, a pencil case, and other terrible things like that. But that also isn't too bad, I need the exercise. (sw) So, hours go by, and it's finally time for the dreaded English class- you know, the one I had stayed up all night stressing about. So, I get there, and she tells us that we don't have to have it done yet (we have until Monday.), she's gonna give us a quiz, not a test, and the essay shouldn't be very difficult. 😡 Meeeehhhh.

Moving on! Now, I have on good authority that a good amount of y'all aspire to become teachers. So, I have a helpful tip: If you plan to teach Middle School, then DON'T give the students homework on the first day. First day homework, is, in one word, EVIL. Even if it's supposedly "fun" homework. The definition of homework is boring work for everyone except those who are very disturbed. 😛 So there is clearly a contradiction going on there.

^I say that because I got a boatload of homework today- On the first day! Ugghh, really, what is that treachery? I miss Elementary school. *Wistful sigh*

Oh! And, lastly, I'm pretty sure that I'm now one of those psychotic honors kids ("Honors" classes are advanced classes- For example: in 8th grade Honors Math you do 9th and 10th grade math.). So, I was in Algebra, which is first period. -.- And she (the teacher) is going on about how difficult, challenging, and quick the curriculum will be.. And so, of course I was mentally sighing. A lot. But at the same time I was filled with this bizarre nerdy joy at all the work and thinking that was in store for me.. Insanity, I tell you.

Hahahaha love the way you described this :)
Whoever thought it would be a good idea to a) hold a big bike-ride in the city centre, thereby closing off most of the central road network, b) hold Artsfest, a huge free event that attracts hundreds of people and c) schedule engineering works on one of the busiest train lines in and out of the city ALL ON THE SAME day, is an idiot.

I had to be in work for 11am today. I can usually get a train at 10.25 that'll get me there on time. But no, today, all trains were cancelled. So I had to get the bus. Irked me that I had to pay another £3.40 for that prievlage on top of the train pass I'd already bought. Getting the bus adds 45 minutes on to my journey and it took even longer today, because of all the traffic for Artsfest, and because a load of roads in the city centre were closed for the SkyRide. Then it took me twice as long as normal to get home, too. GRR!

That sounds annoying. I'd be rather irritated if I were you. Sucks.
soo.....i have food poisoning and a heart condition. they were pretty much working together yesterday to make me feel like...really bad. lol i technically should have been the hospital like i usually do. but since im 22 i decided to be a big boy and go to work even though i was so sick. well, two of my bosses were very mad that i came to work, not because i was so sick, but because i asked to do my normal work load instead of the 3x amount they wanted me to do. i was like really would you rather i had not come in at all?

I'm sorry, babe. 🙁 That really does suck that your birthday presents were stolen. 🙁

My husband is a douchebag. He reeks of douchebaggery.

Bumped into my ex-fiance today, she didn't even look at me, left me feeling weird now.

Would be strange if it didn't. Hope the feeling didn't last too long.
There is nothing like the British media to wind me up in the morning.

Last night Rafael Nadal won his first ever US Open final, becomning only the 7th man in the sport to complete a Career Slam...what does Sky Sports News talk about? Of course their main story is Andy Murray's chances of a Slam.

Yes he is the 'home player' so to speak, but said player went out in the third round, so why not focus on the match that actually happened last night and the history that was made instead of speculating on next season and whether or not Murray will win a Slam....even though there is only one year in age between Rafa and Andy...one has 9 Grand Slams...one has 0!

Yes this morning my neighbours no doubt heard me shouting at the tv this morning.

I dunno what it is but i feel kinda guilty. I have messaged an old friend to try and keep in contact with them but they could not be bothered with me so i have decided to not bother with her anymore but im feeling guilty for not saying Happy Birthday to her :/
I dunno why i feel so guilty when she constantly makes me feel rubbish though

I know the feeling!
In high school, I had this friend who was nice, but she was always talking about herself, and always interruping you when you were talking. We lost touch since we are in different universities, but I sent her a message for a birthday...two days too late *I never know what is the day-not of her birthday, I just never know if today is like the 15th or the 16th or...Except that tomorrow is back to school so that date I know, otherwise....*. And she didn't send me any message for my own birthday. Not even late. It made me feel less guilty because, well losing/keeping touch is mutual!
Don't blame yourself!🙂
