Last week was awful. I left work early on Sunday night (I never do that. Ever.) because I wasn't feeling well and my mom (we trade off shifts) has made a huge deal out of it, like I meant to get sick. I couldn't even drive home...
Then Monday I went to the hospital with kidney stones and a kidney infection. I have no insurance, and technically, I'm unemployed. I work for my mom. I make $600/mo, and I only get about $200 of that to myself a month. I can't afford the hospital.
So then I'm driving along on Thursday on a street I could have sworn was 45 mph, but it was 35, so I got pulled over by a cop that had no lights on and a black car. It was night. He scared the hell out of me by bringing his car to life RIGHT as I passed. So, of course, I hit the gas, which made me get to 49 in a 35. I really can't afford the $375 he says the ticket will be...
Saturday was good, today was all right, but now my mom says I have to stay here longer (work) to make up for going home early. I work 48 hour shifts. She only pays me for 24 hours. And some weekends I work 52 hours, and get paid nothing more. So, why is it, the ONE time I'm ill, she wants me to make up the time?! That really makes me mad. It makes me feel like she's not grateful at all that I help her. I haven't said anything about the 52 hour shifts, but how is it fair that she needs me to make up the 6 hours I left early, when I've worked... 16 extra hours so far. Wouldn't that mean she owes me 10 hours? Nope. I owe her. And she was trying to dock my pay for leaving early too! That was really rude. I could get a real job, but I haven't to help her, and she doesn't even pay me well at all. And when she was hurt for a week, I stayed here and did everything for her and she paid he horribly. I make $625 and hour. That's $1.05 lower than my state's minimum wage! I could get a job working 40 hours a week for minimum wage and make over $1,100/week. But I don't to help her and she repays me by acting like I'm out to get her. My person usually comes with me to stay, and thinks that I let my mom walk all over me. I'm starting to get the point. I'm about to get really angry with her if she doesn't change her attitude.
Lots of text, but I actually do feel better now. Cigarette time!
