Why the heck are so many websites forcing people to use rather lengthy capcha verification, on top of the usual name/email & passwords, just to log in?
This is getting super annoying of late! I mean, what is even the point of having a password, then? 👿

How do you feel about those ones that say "mark all the boxes that have a boat in them" and you have to study nine little squares trying to find each one that has a boat someone in the picture. I likes thoses.

Most of them are like that nowadays, and then the images keep going. End up spending few minutes just trying to log in! 😩

It would be rather insulting for a robot to consider themselves a droid. Robots are, well, robotic. Droid is short for android which limited and defined by their human shape and characteristics. I'd rather be a dalek than a C3PO.

I am not wrong. The Star Wars vernacular is wrong. Lucas thought, in the 70s, that droid was synonymous with robot. He was wrong. And it's been a mistake that has been perpetuated throughout the years.

All androids are robots (i.e robotic) but not all robots are androids (i.e. humanoid, human-like, residents of uncanny valley etc)...yes? I think R2 is a robot not an android. I'm presuming @HowiMetdaSlayer is neither but we don't know for sure because she hasn't ticked the box!

I wish I could find an old SMBC again where it asks you send in your tax records from 3 years ago or some such, saying that a robot would instantly send something while a human would say it's not worth the effect...because laziness proves you're a human.
