Veronica Mars Season 2 for the UK

Thursdays are a good TV day actually. Veronica Mars, Kitchen Confidential/Scrubs clash (although now KC is repeating its fine), Will & Grace.

The Black Donnellys

So I'm thinkin' it will be a very good night for me. 🙂 Actually Thursdays have always been good for me, even though every show I watch those nights tend to get cancelled. But Tru Calling, Point Pleasant, Night Stalker, life as we know it, and several other good shows have been sent there, and killed there. Still, great TV viewing.

Hmm...they've never been on Thursday in the U.S. unless I'm mistaken...and neither has VM...maybe the Ireland networks like Thursday and want to put on the best shows there. 😉

BTW this is a tangent sort of but does Ireland show Point Pleasant?

Well I used to watch Buffy and Angel on Sky, but I think the Irish network also showed it on Thursday, although they were like 2/3 years behind Sky!!

No Point Pleasant has never been on an Irish channel, There's only one channel (There's only 4, lol) that would show a sci-fi show, and like Buffy they were usually a few years behind, like I believe they just had an exclusive on Irish TV of Charlie's angels: Full throttle, lol.

So Irish folk aren't fond of sci-fi shows?! That disappoints me. I'm partly Irish, lol, and sci-fi/fantasy is my favorite.

Same Sci fi is a personal Fave. Over here we have two main channels, and two independent ones, one shows the sci-fi shows with the lateness, and the other is a all Irish channel, which in the last few years has actually started showing good TV shows, like The O.C., One Tree Hill and Nip/Tuck before they start on English TV, but the rest of the shows are all Irish and god-awful.
The two main ones don't show any Sci-fi, with the exception of Lost which was a huge success! But absolutely no other Sci-fi!

I swear I'm gonna have to move over there and bring my TV on DVD collection and force the whole population to watch them... 😀

lol, Thats what I do. I have to tell people about shows like Firefly and Tru Calling, to try and get people to buy the DVD's, I once explained the whole series of Buffy during Lunch to a friend to try and get them intrested.

Most people would watch Lost, Scrubs, The Simpsons, Pimp my Ride, Top Gear (Car show), The O.C.

Prision Break has just started over here, so I'm not sure how many people are watching that yet. And I have yet to find a friend of mine who is watching Veronica Mars, although I have a friend who will watch it when it comes out on DVD 🙁

I think Prison Break is doing farely well.

Anywho, a miracle happened the other day. Was chatting to someone I recently met and they had heard of Veronica Mars, just not seen it. I was close to finding someone who meets it. I'm going to make them watch it though 😀

Holy Mother of God!!! That was a fantastic hour of TV, Ok everyone that doesn't watch VM is stupid, completely and totally!!! The ep tonight was My mother, the fiend, It was Brilliant to see Alyson and Charisma together again, there scene was great. And the episode was fantastic, So many twists and turns, and the ending was amazing!!

I missed the Alyson and Charisma episode!!!!! F**K!!!!

I honestly have to say as much as I tried a while back, I wasn't liking Veronica Mars. I didn't 'get it'. But I saw some more, I think season 2 episodes, and they've been awesome!

22nd August. They're American but theres like a 90% chance they'll work fine on UK players (I can let you know in a few weeks if you want)

The first season is finally getting a region two release "early next year", but thats all thats known right now.

Really!!! Yes that is the best news I've herd all day!!

Sprry for the double post, But does anyone know does the Region 1 Veronica Mars DVD work on Region 2 player?? I was reading a thread on tv.com (here), where european watchers say that the DVD plays on their DVD player, even though it's labeled Region 1, and their not using a multi-region dvd player???

If it is I might explode with happyness!! then I can get season 1 and 2 at the end of the month, and for like €80 - €90 inc shipping, that aint bad!

Think I've said it about three times (may even make it into a banner 😛) but yes, they do work. Along with a lot of WB shows (I think, but don't quote me on that) they are classed as being Region One, but are not actually region locked. Thus season one (and im guessing two) will work on any DVD player.
