Veruca-who else hates her?

Ok, so I actually liked Veruca's character up until she showed no remorse whatsoever for what she and Oz did the morning they woke up in the woods together. I kinda felt like they changed her character midway through the ep... At first she was cool, and even nice enough not to make Willow feel stupid when she didn't know what they were talking about with the music speak. She even complimented her shirt! And then all of a sudden she's this slutty little vixen who's out to take Oz from her? It seemed kind of disconnected, and I didn't like that. If Veruca had stayed true to her original personality traits, I thought she had potential to be an awesome character on the show.

I do agree, though, for a girl who's supposed to be so sexy, Paige Moss isn't really the one I would have cast in that role.

I don't know, I always got the sense that her agenda the entire time, from the second she set her eyes on Oz, was to weasel her way in. Even when she was being "nice" to Willow, I think it was an act the whole time. I mean, that so called compliment on her shirt seemed obviously backhanded. She's one of those girls thats really good at worming her way in and stealing your boyfriend all the while making it seem that those weren't her initial intentions. A TOTAL manipulator. She was never nice or cool, IMO.

I dislike her, and her view of the world, and her thinking that just because she had the power to do whatever she wanted, that it was OK.

Thats why I disliked her the most, her view. I know she's a predator and all, but half the time sh'e suppose to be human.

I can see you're side of it... I just didn't get that impression of her at first. I didn't think she was going to be evil until she and Oz woke up together. At that moment, I was all too happy to see Buffy slay her, but it was poetic justice that Oz ended up ripping her throat out. Ew.

lol, yeah Eww was right.
Hate is such a strong word.

I don't exactly hate Veruca, but I don't exactly like her either.

Her character was going to be developed but was dropped after a few episodes and I think that's why a lot of people don't like her because they didn't know the character's back story.

She served a purpose by being somewhat...make that rather... repulsive (for me). Wolfie Oz tore her throat out to protect(?) Willow. Granted I can't say he'd necessarily be humping Will leg when he bulled charged her after killing Veruca, but thanks to the traqualizer we'll never know. 🙂

Oz made that remark about the wolf always being under the surface. maybe his will was enough for it to cut both ways?

I didn't like Oz eating people or killing things...even the Zombie guy he ate in Zeppo. Yet with veruca he gets a pass for me because he was in away putting a dangerous animal down. The writers wrote her part well for seving a purpose.

Veruca was wolf 24/7 and I didn't like her way of thinking. She was the kick in the butt Oz needed for a driving story, I just wish they would have done more with his character after that mini arc.

(looking forward to any comics!)

I think she was a major bitca but she was kinda sexy. She had the whole animalistic thing going and it was hot. I hated her terrible lip syncing though. Ugh.

Re:

She's an animal, a B*** in heat.

Well, technically? Yes. LOL.

I'm not on the Veruca bandwagon by any means, but I agree with some that she was a necessary character. She made it easier to take some of the hate away from Oz and focus it on her. I mean, lets face it...most of us have been with our significant others at one point and time and encountered a Veruca. It's aggrivating...it's humiliating...And it downright pisses you off! I think Joss knew that, thus creating her character. I think if Oz had just left Willow high and dry the disappointment would have fallen on him. After all, who could appreciate a man who just leaves someone as sweet and caring as Willow? So then there was Veruca. Cynical, seductive, slightly trashy...all the things that Willow was not.
But in the end, even after the animal sex...When Oz touched Willows face and told her that he'd never loved anything else, I fell in love with him all over again. I understood then that he was leaving her so that he would never again hurt her. And I despised Veruca.

God, I hate that girl. I just watched that whole Veruca/Oz arc all over again - and hate her even more. I always try to sympasize with every character I come across in some way - but I just can't with her. She tried to kill Willow! And she completely ruined Ozlow...I loved them *sniff

Granted, it wasn't a great idea for Oz to lock her in the cage with him at all...but he did the right thing by admitting he couldn't control his attraction to her and by breaking up with Willow (even though it was very sad and I loved Oz.) All and all, I thought Oz was very mature about the whole thing. He didn't ask Willow for forgiveness after cheating on her. He just left, he couldn't control the beast inside of him. I think the saddest part, though, is when he comes back and is in control and you can tell he came back to make it up to Willow But she had already moved on...you could tell Oz really wanted to get back together with Willow.
