I was reading this article on SFX, a review of an episode of Vampire Diaries. And I came across this sentence:

When he first appeared way back in the early years of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Jonathan was nicknamed "Victim Johnny" by fans, because that seemed to be his main function in any episode.

I have never ever heard that before - when did anyone ever call him Victim Johnny?

I have never heard any reference to this in fandom. This is the first time I've encountered the phrase.

Never heard of it either, a google search doesn't turn up much either, but there are a few (very few) references to it.

Honestly I didnt even notice Jonathan watching it for the first time, not until Selfless. And then re-watching it I was like Oh he was there the whole time. lol

haha it sure took you a while to notice him! But I agree, re-watching the serie a second time was like oh, look at that he was always there!

I actually quite like his character, he's a very good background character! Wouldn't have made a good main guy but he was decent in his role. Plus he represents a lot of the kids we see in highschool, I like that. I was pretty sad when he died 🙁

lol i meant Earshot...idk why Selfless popped into my head
It would make sense if it was true because essentially he was "Victim Johnny" but I've never ever heard that term before...
