Violence Towards Your Computer

Yell at it. Curse it. Throw the mouse around (only costs $10-$40 for a replacement). Smash the keyboard (10-20 dollars replacement, and oh so durable), hit the monitor (reasonably durable, though hella expensive in the unlikely event you jar something loose, but nevertheless extremely satisfying to beat on).

But for heaven's sake. Do not. ever. shake the box. I mean, there are hard-drives in there whirring away at up to 15k rpm ('really freaking fast', in laymen's terms), and with heads floating off the surface of the platters closer than the thickness of a human hair. The slightest jar can leave a gouge that, although hard to see with the naked eye, is like the grand canyon in hard drive terms. If you want to kill the data, and therefore risk the computer working at all, then go ahead and shake it or kick it. Otherwise... play safe! Smash the keyboard like the rest of us who get the red-outs. 😉

Hey, has anyone seen Office Space? I've done the 'fax-machine routine' on many an old computer. Nothing beats the smile on a young lad's face as he drives his foot into a a delicate computational instrument.

Ours is four years old now, and it plays up like hell. Its slow and unresponsive sometimes. It has a tendency to restart at random, but I found that was because it was overheating so I let some cold air into the room when it starts buzzing.

I should be getting my own laptop soon, so I'll leave my brothers to this old thing.

I did...do...depends lol The last two times I've had to re-boot my whole computer cos of stupid virus' and I get all grr lol Also sometimes my computer lately is becoming slower and occasionally freezes...that'll all prob change in a few months though because for the past two years, I've been gettin a virus which causes the same effects as the other and in the end had to get my comp re-booted, everythin deleted and gone and well new...so no doubt, in a few months, it will happen again...I think someone is out to get me *looks around suspiciously and paranoid* That's why, now, I have my computer highly protected...just hope it works

I get mad at the computer all the time.

It's main problem is disconnecting me from AOL out of nowhere, right when i'm in the middle of doing something, grrr! Either that or it won't let me log on at all, which is a complete pain in the a**.

Otherwise, my Windows XP software works really well and the comp works pretty quickly, so i shouldn't complain.

I get mad at my computer alot as well. Its mainly when it disconnects me... especially when I'm downloading something and its close to being done. I'm like, "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" and slam my keyboard on the desk hard. 😛

My computer sucks so bad. Something happens every single day. When I opened this thread my computer froze and I had to restart it. Then when I went to get back into this thread again and it happened again and I had to go through the same process. Drives me crazy.

My old computer was soooooooo bad. It took me 4 minutes to post, not typing, but the new page actually loading.
