The posts by Faith and EDB in the news thread about our Buffy awards ceremony gave me the idea for this...

If you were organising an after show party for the BB awards, where would it be? You can choose any venue, any location and any time - fictional or non-fictional. What entertainment would we have...dancing or a band?

I'll kick off with an obvious one - The Bronze, Sunnydale, California during BtVS S5. I think I'd have the Kaiser Chiefs and KT Tunstall providing the music. Oh, and the catering would be either Indian or Mexican...

Hmm well after some thought i'd go with a hotel. A private function room and catering, and not to far for me to go to fall into bed. Ok so that would just be a repeat of my Buffy convention experiences.

Probably best to have a few different bands to cater for all the tastes but for me headlined by Green Day, so I can then kidnap Billie Joe *whistles innocently*

Different bands make sense. But there would have to be a headliner. And that would have to be The Offspring!
 
No way! I love the Kaisers, KT Tunstall, Green Day and the Offspring but there is only one band that deserves to headline and that would be Pearl Jam. Or if Eddie and the guys weren't available then i'd say go for the Foo Fighters.

As for the venue, well it's already mentioned but the Bronze makes the most obvious place to hold the Buffies. Can't think of anywhere more appropriate than that! 🙂
 
I would have it at the hyperion hotel and have Charisma Carpenter as my date 😉 Dingoes ate my baby would be the band and we'd have the actors of Buffy put on Buffy skits for us.

Lol, good question... as venue I'd choose the Drogynian Royal Palace 😛 The parties thrown there are always a blast 😉.


Who I'd have perform... the Buffy cast ofcourse, singing the OMWF songs! Maybe the Angel cast could come back with their Caritas-songs too... although maybe Angel himself shouldn't participate 😉

As a loyal Merrickan I won't be setting foot in your 'so called palace'.

Hmmm how about Christian Kane doing some singing....evil hand anyone :hihi:

I think I'd go for The Bronze too because its the only club I've ever experience (obviously not in person) where the music is sufficiently loud enough on the dance floor, but elsewhere its quiet enough to hold a conversation. They must have some magical soundsystem.

Anyway as far as music, hmm Spoon cause I'm digging them at the moment. Panic! at the Disco for some upbeat fun. I'd imagine Gwen Stefani would be quite fun, although pre-pregnancy so we don't have to worry about her over-exerting herself.

Food, bah we'd hire a caterer and they can organise it 😛

Oops! No-one noticed I put The Bronze in Springfield rather than Sunnydale 🙂
Managed to confuse my two favourite shows there...Old Age 2 - Pointy nil 😉
Still, a Buffy/Simpsons crossover...that would be exceedingly cool 😀
