Mutant Enemy put out some great stuff, didn't they?

No reason we can't recreate what they did, if on a lesser scale (we lack the millions of dollars needed to make these episodes... sadly 🙁).

I'm talking about a group of three to five people (myself included) who will be in charge of this project. Our goal will be to organize all of the contributions made by posters on this board (along with our own two cents 😉), as well as coordinate the Writing Staff (using the ideas, outlined, etc.) and in general, just act like dictators.

We can be Mutant Enemy. We can be dictators!

I'm pleased to announce that Hostile_17 will be joining the Production staff.

There's still two to four positions (we've yet to decide on a final number, but the number should be relatively small to keep things focused) available.

Since it does not appear as if my cry for help regarding MY Season 8 is going to bear fruit, I'll throw my hat into the ring for the BB.Com VS8. I've just checked TVTome.Com, and according to them, the real-life BtVS had, over its seven-year run, a total production staff of 7 people. I think that the VS8 should emulate that (if not in whole, then in part).

Oooh can I? I'd like to help run it all. Im umming and ahhing the writers thing, but I dont think I'd have the time. So producer sounds cool.
 
I also would like to volunteer. Problem though... I'm a security freak, and refuse to use Instant messaging services. I notice that's your tool of choice. That's cool. To each his own.

I'm thinking though...From time to time you're going to come across distasteful duties that no-one really wants. The rest of you will be able to get together on your IMs and say, "That's OK. We'll give that one to Nerd".

Here's an example. You may want to assign a specific thread in this forum to dealing with bitcas and complaints. In this way the mechanics of the writing and organization will be able to run smoothly elsewhere on the forum. I could be the complaint guy.
 
I've been following this topic for awhile and would be happy to lend my expertise if its needed/wanted. I realize that I'm younger then alot of you, but I can help. You mentioned orginization and coordination. I can SO do that. I keep my room in perfect shape, my entire computer completely organized by sub-sections. I also like to message people. Don't know why, makes me feel important.

also about the 'complaint' thread... if you ever need help with that, I'm sure I can be of assitance. I worked on a Star Trek project with about 4 other people, and handeld the 'suggestions and complaints'.

Just thought I'd suggest that Dariodevil becomes a mod to take care of this perticular part of the forums. After all, he's the one taking charge!

or not? I just checked and saw that the forum mod for this area is 'The First Evil'.

I see your point, however, that's over its seven-year run, not over the course of one season.

We want to avoid "too many cooks" syndrome, you know?

However, the number of Producers is flexible, given the individuals interested. 🙂

Indeed, the Writing staff must be committed. One does not have to write a full episode, but they have to be able to set aside time to write at least several pages based on an outline of ideas submitted by the board and organized by the Production team. I also encourage people who want to contribute without committing to writing a full (or part of a) script to contribute to the Idea Submission thread.

I understand. E-mail is also used, IMing is preferred only because of the speed and the interaction. However, e-mail is still viable, and will not disqualify anyone from being onboard.

For the record, we are not going to be setting a line-up in stone so soon, because we want to make this open to everyone, so if you are in contact with us, please give us about a week or two (if not more) just to finalize a line-up, and refine the game plan.

I brought H17 on board because, frankly, I need help, and when I contacted him, we both had the same goals in mind for this project.

We want to make this the Standard. We want this to be something BuffyBoards is proud of.

There's plenty of time, don't be shy, step on up, post here, P.M. myself or H17, or send either of us e-mails.

As far as I know, of the show's seven Executive Producers, only Joss Whedon, Marti Noxon, and David Greenwalt were directly involved in determining its creative direction. The others were network executives who were given Executive Producing credits because of the roles they played in getting the show on the air and/or keeping it on the air.
 
This isn't a network television series. This is a project on a message board - for fans, by fans.

The number of Producers will be three to five, but is flexible depending on how many people are interested, among other factors.

Dario and me have made our decision on the third position on the production staff, keep in mind that this is not the last spot on the production staff. But right now let me announce our newest producer:

Like I said above there are a few more positions left on the team and we are still loking for more people on produtcion and writingstaffs. IF you want on production, either reply here or get ahold of me or Dario Devil

Ashsan, Dario and I will be getting ahold of you for some "idea Tennis"
 
I actually wouldn't mind being a part of this. I've been following this idea for awhile, and I think it's extremely interesting and I would love the chance to be a part of it. It may be too late to ask, but if you need another producer guy, I would love to do it. Either way, you have a devoted fan already. 😀

Sorry it took me so long to post, I kinda took the weekend off the project, and I believe Dario did the same. Anyways...

Rocket- we are still looking for a few more producers, I'll be interviewing you by the end of the week.

Everyone else, we not only need producers still, but writers and it would also be good to start seeing people voice their ideas in the idea thread, because we should be beginning sometime very soon.
