Vocabulary à la BtVS & AtS Screencaps

I'm trying to cram a very long list of words into my head. I got annoyed at myself as I was browsing the screencap game (at another board) as I should have been studying. In addition I'm the type of person who learns best if I create stories and/or have visual/mental imagery to go with whatever I'm trying to remember. Therefore I decided to mix business with pleasure and create my own vocabulary screen-caps. The caps somehow needs to be related to the word and its meaning, but does not necessarily have to have a direct link. Stories as to why a certain word fits a cap works just as well.

So I thought I'd bring it over here as well, and see if people felt like "playing"/being creative.

Here's a list of words (I've got more if people are interested):
Abscond - to leave secretly
Adulterate - to make impure
Ardor - intense and passionate feeling
Attenuate - to reduce in force or degree; to weaken
Audacious - fearless or daring
Capricious - changing one's mind quickly and often
Convoluted - intricate and complicated
Desiccate - to dry thoroughly
Diffident - lacking self-confidence
Disabuse - to set right; to free from error
Engender - to produce, cause, or bring about
Erudite - learned, scholarly, bookish
Exigent - urgent; requiring immediate action
Inchoate - not fully formed; disorganized
Misanthrope - a person who dislikes others
Obdurate - hardened in feeling; resistant to persuasion
