Vote For Buffy!

So, there's this site who's having a poll with the format of a Soccer Cup with many series of the 90's and Buffy is in it.

Buffy already kicked The Sopranos and The Simpsons butts. But now it's going against an even more powerful opponent: Friends.

Would you help our favorite slayer win?

I adore Friends...some might say it dictates my life lol but Buffy is the better show...hands down.
 
Okay, this is a VERY hard choice for me. All Friends, Buffy, X-Files and MacGyver are shows I've watched at some point.
It's a good thing Buffy isn't up against the X-Files (aka my new obsession) yet, so I couldn't even get tempted to vote for that instead.
 
I could be voting for which ones worst for all i know but i voted Buffy, i love friends almost as much...but stilll... only almost

We still have some days! It's until 25th of March at 16:00, Greenwich meridian time.
 
Buffy's not losing...from what i can see when i voted we seemed to be winning by quite a bit 🙂 Not that i understand what's going on really lol!!

Although i think it should have been Friends and Buffy in the last two! With Buffy winning of course 😀
 
Looks like the voting closed for Buffy, or is that just cause i already voted?

I voted MacGyver instead of Xfiles on the second one. Not because i think its better, but because its worse. Pit the worse one against Buffy 😉 I dont see Buffy beating out the x files fans but ya never know.

Just noticed, Buffy was against Sopranos in its first round, wouldnt have guessed it would win against that either.
 
I went back to the website (replacing meia-final with final in the url of the first message) to vote in the finals for Buffy. They have changed the voting procedure to include 4 write-in fields that are all mandatory - Name, vote for Buffy the vampire slayer, name 3 fruits other than orange, strawberry, banana, and pineapple, and write some commentary about your hobbies. All votes must be in portuguese. The procedure was apparently changed by the person who put up the poll due to complaints from people who didn't think Buffy should have made it to the finals. This way, the person said, if buffy wins, it will be on its merits. I'm not sure why buffy winning before was not about more people enjoying it, but do whatever you want with the information. I do happen to speak portuguese and could answer the questions, but it you want a few names of brazilian fruits you could try acerola, caju, jabuticaba, graviola, jaca, cacau, carambola, mangaba, pinha, pitanga, lots of others. A few hobbies: jogar esportes (playing sports), ver buffy pela televisao (watching buffy on television), ler (reading), bailar (dancing). If you feel like voting, you can fill in the four blanks and click submit, but they no longer show the results, so it's unclear how much intervention the poll-poster will do before showing the results. The poll closes April 3rd. For the hobbies section, you might find the verb gosto (i like) useful - as in "gosto jogar futebol" means i like to play soccer, and 'e' means 'and'.

I love Friends and Buffy so much. I love the humor and all the character's...characters. haha.
But I do have to say I love Buffy more. Buffy has great jokes that I've never even espected to hear and has a plotline that always messes me up in twists and turns in the best way possible. it also focuses wonderfully on mixing people and events. The group can be trying to fight off glory and be trying to overcome the First while at the same time sneaking in personal relationships and things. not many shows can accomplish this.

Ah wow, that's very useful. I speak a bit of Spanish but I doubt I could have made that pass for Portuguese.

Also, i think it's stupid to think that Buffy wouldn't win on merit. I mean, we might not be portuguese, but we all think Buffy should win, right?
