When she was resurrected i just she kinda cause a vulnerability in the slayer chain?
so i guess she is going to repeat what she did in Season 5 Finale to make the line back to track?

I don't know what they are going to do about it, but I don't think her re-enacting the end of "the Gift" is the only option, I mean we don't even know what the vulnerability is, do we?

but we do know there's a vulnerability...dun think she re-enacted it too...
but she would probably die i think...in some other ways?

well either that or she could have caused the vulnerability by not killing Faith. Slayers are meant to fight evil not become evil and that's what Faith did

That's not really something very special, I mean it is something special, but not like it can be written in the rules of the buffyverse, that whenever a Slayer does not do her duties, the whole line of Slayers will be punished with a vulnerabilty.

But why discuss this, it's a nearly confirmed spoiler!

REALLY? ALLY you have GOT to PM me with this confirmed spoiler! what is the vulnerability? well i guess since this is the spoiler forum you could also just post it here...either way, PLEASE!!! lol

What type of vulnerability is not confirmed, but it is an almost 100% certain spoiler that this came from the resurrection-spell!

Here's my theory on the Vulnerability. The Slayer line is like a chain and moves from link to link. When Buffy died and was brought back in Season 1, it was fine cause the power moved on to the next person.

Unfortunately Buffy's been reborn, and I think she's a potential again, even though she's a Slayer because the line just saw 'Buffy Summer's is born/brought back. She is a potential.

Now, the Slayer power can't go back into Buffy, because she's already had her turn and has used up her turn, so the power can't go back into her, but she's a potential and when all the other potentials and Faith dies, the power should go into Buffy, but it can't since she already was a Slayer.

Now since the line is a link, Buffy doesn't get the power and it can't just skip her. Since it can't go into Buffy and can't just move to the next in line, the Slayer power dies. End of Slayer.

A little far fetched, but it is possible! But why didn't this occur when Kendra died! And why would TBTB pick Buffy out of all the other potentials!

And why is it that if Faith would die once, she wouldn't pass the powers on to somebody new?

She would except the First plan is to leave it so Buffy's the only potential left to pass the power too, and since my theory is that Buffy can't recieve the Slayer linage twice, it just ends or dissolves or whatever.

OIC, but then if the first would have killed off Faith and the other SITs before Kendra died, the Slayer linage would have dissolved as well. But we all know that some recent event has cause the slayers Achilles heel!

No it wouldn't because new SIT's will be called in the future allowing the power to jump to them because it still the chain, it just was put on hold. The only reason it will work now is because he does it with Buffy and the power will die, and never start back up.

What Ally is probably saying is that Buffy died in Season 1 and was resurrected, meaning in your theory she would be a potential again. The FE could have struck in S2 and killed all SITs as well as Kendra diminishing the power entirely. So there must be something else involved in the events that caused the vulernerability.

It could be that the recent event was her coming back as a potential with the resurrection spell due to her changing genetics/dna/whatever and is no longer known as Buffy in the "spiritual" world. However I strongly doubt that, I know its going to be a simple reason but still. Hmmm, guess all we can do is wait and see while we speculate 😛

Interesting theory, although I'm in agreement we may be looking a little to deep into this. I can't say I've found a simple explanation though. I just hope it is answered and isn't left up in the air.

No, he couldn't strike in Season 2 because Buffy was dead to the line. She still had Slayer powers, but was dead to the line.

When she was brought back, it was a rebirth, putting Buffy back in the line. But if the power can't go into the same person twice, and it can't skip a person, then kill the line leaving only Buffy, kill Faith, Buffy can't become the Slayer twice and the line dies.

If I'm wrong about this, shoot me, If I'm right, prepare to grovel.

Youre not making any sense....

Okay, now I'm going to use a diagram to explain. I can't believe you guys are finding this so dificult.

Okay, the rule is (if my theory's right, this will be a future revelation last minute episode shocker) That a Slayer can only gain the power once, and the power must run through the potential chosen and cannot skip them

So so far, the line has gone

Slayer before Buffy - Buffy - Kendra - Faith - whoever is chosen

Now, while Buffy still has the power, she is no longer a Slayer and she is as dead to the line as Kendra is.

But Buffy is reborn through 'Bargaining' and since being a potential for a Slayer is programmed into you at birth, the line got confused and now considers Buffy a candidate.

So if all the other potentials are killed, then when Faith dies, the power should go to Buffy since she is the last potential, but she's already been a Slayer, so the power cannot go back into her, but since Buffy can never gain the power again, then she can never die again and pass the power along to the next SIT, thus ending the line.

If you still don't get it, I give up.
