Fred and Gunn...Huh?

Sorry, there's no romantic chemistry between these two at all.

I get more of the brother/sister vibe from them.


my heart broke for Wesley when he saw them kissing.


Groo is nice and all, but basically a dimwitted T00L.

Just don't see the point of bringing him to LA.

Those scenes between Angel and Cordy were hot, there was a lot more than spirit posession goin on there.


Summer Glau was a beautiful Prima ballerina and Fred looked gorgeous.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Fred and Gunn either.. I wanted Wesley and Fred to be together, so I was pretty sad/angry/shocked about that pairing.

And, yeeeeeah, Summer was amazing in this episode, so sad.
 
I love this episode. It's one of my favorites. The scenes with Angel and Cordelia at the ballet are good. I like Cordelia falling asleep during the performance. I would think she'd be used to those type of things since she was rich back in SunnyD.
 
Waiting in the Wings has to be one of the worst episode ever. Just for the fact that Fred and Gunn pairing off. WHAT? The worst pairing off in Angel series. Worst writing. Fred and Gunn had no chemistry and buildup at all. NOTHING. Even Cordelia knew that Wes and Fred should be an item.

Just a few episodes prior to this, Gunn couldn't care less about the A.I. team and almost killed them and almost killed Fred in the process. So, what makes Gunn so special all of sudden that him and Fred being an item?

I am a Fred/Wesley shipper but I think it made sense that Fred and Gunn got together first because with the exception of Lorne they were the two lighthearted members of the gang. Personality wise, on the surface, they had a lot in common. Wesley not only waited too long, but the events of Billy put an awkwardness between him and Fred that allowed Gunn to sweep in and steal the girl.

I have to say I have a little trouble believing Gunn would be attracted to a girl like Fred. I can see him going out with someone more like Cordelia or even Faith but I don't know.

Gunn likes to be the one to take care of things in relationships. Like how he always looked after Alona and his crew. 100% Alpha Male.

I'm guessin that why Fred would be more appealing to him, than Cordy or Faith.

I don't like the idea of Gunn/Fred either. I'm more a Fred/Wesley shipper.

I love this episode! Especially the scenes of Angel and Cordelia, the song Lorne sang for Connor (haha) and Gunn "I was pretty cool before I met you all" (or whatever he says)

I wasn't a fan of Cordy's hair either. It was short from the back and then up. It looked a little weird.
Fred looked gorgeous though.
 
awww i actually loved Fred and Gunn together, the very first i watched it , i was raging at Wesley and Fred, but now i prefer Fresley.

I thought they made a great couple, was so sad when they split up ;(
 
This is a Joss Whedon series, did you really think it was going to be as easy as Fred and Wesley getting together without a little interference?

On a side note, love the episode, a typical slice of Joss Whedon genius.

I feel bad for Angel. I actually cried when Cordy gets with Groo. I don't hate Groo, but I feel really bad for Angel. 🙁

I don't mind Fred/Gunn. I used to prefer them over Fresley. They're so cute together. I was surprised when Fred chose Gunn over Wes, but think again, it wasn't that surprised at all since Wes scared the hell out of Fred in Billy. I think that also effected to her dicision.

I loved this episode. I was furious when Fred and Gunn got together... Honestly, I think the writers only did that to give Gunn something else to do besides be there and be the token black character. 🙁 I liked Gunn alright, but he and Fred together just did not work to me.
I liked Groo a lot, but I wanted Cordy with Angel more, so I was kinda sad for that whole thing to be happening again. Those Cangel scenes in the wings of the ballet house were pure hotness. I remember being shocked that they got away with that in primetime TV.

For a US Network series, there does seem to be a lot of unsubtle sexual activity and male arousal jokes.
 
I really liked this episode too. I didn't have a problem with Gunn and Fred getting together, I think they're really cute together and I would have to disagree with people who are saying there was no build up.

The Cangel scenes were quite possibly the most uncomfortable I have ever felt watching either of these shows, apart from maybe Seeing Red. It was like watching Ross and Monica getting it on or something. Yuck! 😛

I just watched this episode today for the first time. I think Angel and Cordelia have mad chemistry. It surprised me. I think Fred & Gunn are cute but she should be with Wesley. I don't know how it turns out yet 🙂

I am so clueless.....

Angel and Cordy were HAWT! Gunn and Fred just felt wrong for me. I was rooting for Fred & Wesley the entire time.

I'm rooting for Fred & Wesley too (don't know what happens yet obviously). I like Gunn though, and thought they were kind of cute together.
