I dont know if this has been brought up yet however has anyone else notice that warren is alive in season 8 but in season 7 the first evil is allowed to only take the form of the dead and he took warrens form?

the only reasoning i can find of this is that he died like buffys first death but was brought back by amy......

any thoughts and again sorry if this has been done

Joss said in a "Slay the Critics" thing that he screwed up and totally forgot.

So, boo on Joss. Lol.

I'm gonna pretend that it's like Buffy's thing. Because no man could survive being flayed...

YEA! A thread on this! I found it!
I've been befuddled by that one too.
I am trying to chalk it up to Willow DID kill the Warren Robot and thus that was who the first was REALLY impersonating.
But, I guess that doesn't work all that well, huh?

To call Warrenbot alive is a serious stretch of imagination... and puts Warren as more of a genius than I'd like to credit him with.
The only robots that are alive are Soong type androids anyway.: data ::heart:

KONK! The Buffybot was ALIVE and a fabulous cast member....and then died. Warren could be just as nifty, even if we didn't know him as long.
Someone without a skin isn't really alive, you know? 😉 Plus, Warren did say that "Bored now" were the last words he heard when he was alive, so that actually makes him dead.

OMG@your siggy!! ROFL!!
Wow, I'm really glad you brought that up, andrewcutter, because it hadn't even occurred to me...

I think your theory that Amy brought him back to life is the most plausible answer (since we know Joss didn't mean to do it!). Amy may not be as much of a "natural" as Willow, but she's still very strong as a witch. I could believe it. Especially adding to that the lack of skin, which could be proof of her inferiority to Willow, as in, Warren's been returned to life, but is not complete.

I don't really think that Warren is really alive... unless it's magic that's keeping him talking and walking. I'd say Amy brought him back, but not human. "Last I heard as a human." So Warren isn't actually human.

Someone pressed Joss on this after he admitted he made the mistake and he said something like "Ok he died for like a second and Amy brought him back."
