We're all aware of Warren's return in Buffy Season 8... It suggest to me that he was never dead. Then how did he come appear as 'The first', in Season 7?
 
wait he comes back??? I am totally lost...I read the comic book section but in all reality I HATE comics...I didnt get any insight to what was going on in the continuing story and from what I did see I dont think I like it 🙁
 
Warren turns up with Amy, it turns out they've been working together for a long time to get back at Willow, they even plotted that spell on her and Kennedy together.
 
I think this may have come up in a discussion of the comics in another thread, but I'm not sure.

Basically, Joss forgot that Warren had been dead enough for the First to replicate him. So he decided that he had actually died for a few seconds, but Amy didn't tell him because she didn't want to upset him or something.

Yeah I read that. It was his answer to one of the fan questions wasn't it? His 'I forgot okay??' made me chuckle quite a bit. Nice to know he's honest. Hehe
woohoo Amy's bad! I always hoped she would be hahahaha I mean come on! Willow took years to turn her from a mouse to human again...I'd be a bit pissed too hahahaha. No but Amy was super powerful I always wanted to see Willow and her duke it out. Guess there is some good news from the comic book after all. Still not all that pleased that Warren is alive though...I thought the trio was the worst of the baddies they just didnt hold my intrest at all. Not like Glory! Now she was... Wow! All I can say about her.

so no one summarizes the comic epis on here??? That would be really nice...they could even put notes on their interprations of the comic...I didnt see a "summary" anywhere....maybe I missed it???
 
Possibly he died momentarily like buffy did in Season 1, long enough to become eligable for the "First Evil List," and then Amy revived him.
 
i still don't understand how he managed to 'forget' that Warren appeared as The First, i mean, 'Convesations with Dead People' was a pretty big episode of S7.

either do I but apparenetly the fans pay alot more attention to this stuff...I still find it really hard to believe it slipped his mind

It was several years ago. And he has a lot on his mind. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with plot points like that.
 
The way I heard it, Joss wrote the Buffy meets Holden Webster in the cemetery part. He's not credited. Has something to do with rules of contracts.

honestly I don't know how he missed it but I thought I'd throw some things out there...
So I suppose it's plausible that he could have forgotten aboutthe whole Warren thing
