I was watching the season two episode "Passions" and I was wondering was Angel ever invited into Giles' house?
He was able to get in and leave Jenny's body on the bed and leave roses everywhere.
Did Giles invite him inside in a previous episode, or did someone screw up with the story?

I'd always wondered how he had got in, may'be it was off camera or something. In Amends he had to be invited in..

I've seen this question asked before, but I never remember seeing a straight answer. I guess we have to assume that it happened off screen, and that Giles did an uninvitation spell in between "Passions" and "Amends."

Ya think the scoobies would have some sense to de-invite Angel from Giles' place if he had an invite. I mean they even did Cordy's car, why not Giles' house? Silly scobies....

Hmmm...yea...weird...I've always wondered that though...I guess like most people said, we just have to assume it happened off screen...

Invites can be tricky though. Cordy had no idea she had invited Angel to her new apartment in "Room with a View", even htough it had just happened that morning. If the invitation had taken the form of a passing comment, and Angel had never actually entered the apartment before "Passion" it's entirely possible that the scoobies didn't know he had an invite. After "Passion", though, they obviously knew he had gotten an invite somehow and de-invited him, leading to a new invite being needed in "Amends".

That's exactly right. The invite doesn't have to occur at the door and right before the person comes in. It could have been a passing comment made by Giles for Angel to enter his house at any point, and as you stated, he just never entered before Passion.

Ok not silly scoobies, silly me :rolleyes1

I watched "Passions" again, and I realised that Giles was going to de-invite Angel from his apartment that night, but obviously he never got a chance to....
And I blamed the scoobies....

Well Giles did say "I-I need to see you. No, I-I realize that. Uh... Come after sundown. Good. I'll see you then." Maybe it was initially for his house but they had to change it to Library (its from Prophecy Girl).

Otherwise yeah off screen.

I don't think that a vampire needs an invite into someone's car, Angel got into Lilahs without one. I think if they de-invited him it was only because Cordy was very paranoid about inviting him into the car.

They also didn't know all the intricacies of vampire invites, so they might not have known about the car thing. If you lived in a car though, then a vampire couldn't come in without an invite, right?

No I think if you lived in the car, they'd need an invite. A place of residence is where an invite is required...it's the individual's sanctuary.

Kind of like hotel rooms = no invite needed to enter...even though it looks like an apartment or whatnot. It's not that person's residence.
