Back when the show was airing during my middle school years, every time I went to school on the bus I would always listen to the OMWF CD on my CD Player every day!

Me too! One or two years ago, I had a free period every Tuesday. I always listened to the soundtrack and pictured the scenes from the episode.
I also listened to it whenever I was walking to the bus station or from the bus station home when it was cold and rainy or snowy.

The soundtrack was like a security blanket to me. The time at school back then was really crappy. The soundtrack really helped me.

The week after I joined this fourm I got hold of the OMWF CD ridiculously cheap and listened to it ad nauseum throught out April. Travelling to and from work, during exercise, I was listening to it about 3 times per day. I now listening to it a couple of times a week.

I had a period of OMWF soundtrack obsession for sure.

Standing is still in top 3 on my most played songs list on last.fm actually. 🙂

Standing karma!
Okay confession time >.< I was 12 when it season 6 first came out and the CD came out like 2 or year after? I can't remember but everytime I walked home from school or walk past the graveyard to my boyfriends at the time house I would listen to the album over and over again and once I actually pretended to be Buffy and started singing "Going Through The Emotions" and pretended to stake vampires while walking through the graveyard >.< I know nerd right? haha.

And as soon as I finished typing that "Walk Through The Fire" came on D: it's a sign!

I definitely exhausted the OMWF soundtrack when it first came out. I loved it then and still love it now. 🙂

Even though I started watching Buffy as soon as it aired in Italy (that was spring 2000), I first saw season 6 in 2006 or 2007 when I bought the DVDs😛 I bought the soundtrack in HMV during my trip in London in 2008, along with "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Album". Needless to say, I already had all the songs on my computer but I didn't have an MP3 player until 2009, so my obsession on those songs came pretty late 😛 But still I used to listen to them a lot 🙂

YES!! it drove everyone around me mad but i loved it. i used to listen to it on my walkman all the time, i never let anyone else listen to it. I still listen to it an awful lot today lol never gets boring to me.

Man, going through that right now! I've got the whole thing loaded to my iPod and I'm pretty sure I listen to "Wish I could stay", "Where do we go from here" and "Drawn to the Fire" (still my favorite song) every day.

I used to listen to it on my mini disc player on the way to school all the time... I could not get enough of it, or the buffy/angel theme or the gift.

I was never lucky enough to own the cd. However, I watched this episode so freakin much. I almost need a new 2nd Disc of Season Six, hahah.

I know a girl in my school, she her brother and her parents would sing the whole album on road trips.. each song they would all take different characters and sing out their parts. I wish I could have been in their car for that, haha

A friend of mine was driving down the road the other day, listening to the OMWF soundtrack with her windows down. She was singing really loud, until she noticed a truck with a big manly guy in it inching up closer to her, watching. She said she stopped and turned the music down and all of a sudden she hears this guy sing at the top of his lungs "They got. The Mustard.... OUUUUUT!" LMFAO!! She said she was like "YES!! Rock on, dude!" LOL

Hell, I still *AM* obsessed with it. I remember be ecstatic when I found a copy at Borders in 2006, right around the time my Buffy obsession started. I tell you, I could not get to the register, pay, and get that CD into my portable CD player fast enough! 😀 It's still one of my most played albums on my Ipod. I listen to it at least a few times a month. And "Walk Through The Fire" is totally a ringtone on my phone. 🙂

YES!! I was obsessed with it before I even got into watching Buffy and I'm still obsessed with it today, I have every song on my ipod and I have Rest In Peace as one of my ringtones haha 🙂

Oh I used to be really obsessed with the OMWF soundtrack! I was so excited to get the cd. My favorite songs would change then but through out the years Standing is the one I still love the most of all.

Obsessed, not at all. At times listening to it a lot, most definitely. It comes and goes.

The Whedon soundtrack I've been most obsessed about is the one from Dr Horrible's sing a long blog. Not the "real" one but the commentary. Not that most of you have heard it or even watched it. You guys are sure missing out. Although I'm not saying it's better than OMWF. That I prefer it is just personal and nothing else.

When I first got the soundtrack I had the songs stuck in my head for weeks. I'd be sitting in my office at work, trying to do something, and songs would just assault me. In my head I'd be like "la la la...I'm standing...at my desk..." and then get up to go down the hall singing "I will walk...to the bathroom..." It was bad. 😛

"Walk Through the Fire" is one of my all time favorite things to belt out in the car when nobody is around. I crank up the volume and just sing along with everyone...the end is especially great. 😀

I am still pretty obsessed with the soundtrack. I listen to it in the car, on my ipod. It is always my cleaning CD. 😀 So many amazing songs, infact I just rewatched the OMWF episode this afternoon!

JCoatsworth, I totally get what you mean about the security blanket thing. It's amazing how music or a television show really can help you get through hard times.
