Was anyone else sad about the end of Season 3?

I was so upset becuz after all Buffy did Angel ended up leaving her anyways...Plus i was totally pissed at Buffys mom becuz it wasnt in her place to go nd say that to Angel, it totally threw Buffy nd Angels relationship to the sharks...No matter wat happens though we all know that Buffy nd Angel were made for eachother and will be together again...Some things are just ment to be :heart::love20:
 
A good part of BtVS in Seasons 1 - 3 was the background of teen angst, the mystique of growing up in the high school world. One of the things I liked about Season 7 was how, in the early part of the season, they had episodes which were nostalgic in tone, with stories set in the new high school. And remember-the Buffy troops ride to their final battle at the high school in, of all things, a yellow school bus!

But thank goodness they moved beyond the high school after Season 3. I wholeheartedly agree that it just doesn't work for a show to stay in high school season after season. I very much regretted the departures of Cordelia and of Angel, as well as losing the library as a meeting place for the Scoobies. I was taken aback at the ending of "Graduation Day Pt. II", I thought the giant snake demon thing was a loser and I was aghast at the way they defeated it, just blowing the high school up. But still, all of that emphasized that there really is discontinuity at the end of high school, no matter how much one loves or hates it.

I've always thought Buffy was remarkably good at transitioning from the high school setting to a new one in the adult world. There was brilliance in all of the four later seasons. But I can't help thinking of the four later seasons differently from the first three. There's a sadness in knowing that time passes and that life moves on.
 
I would have to say that yes it was sad, but only because it made the official brake-up of Buffy and Angel all the more.. official. Now, Angel is moving to a different city and the chance that the two of them would get back together is very low indeed.

but some good things did come out of the end of season three, first off the Angel spin-off. Which in some cases, I enjoyed even more than Buffy. Second, the show grew and went to a more mature place, and developed a harder, more experienced slayer. Which I liked, until the end of season 5 then it really all went downhill from there to me. Except for Dark Willow, god I love vengeance 🙂.
 
I too, loved the highschool years of Buffy. Especially, Willow. I mean, she always had this geeky attitude but it was amusing.

I found her really cute when she got her first boyfriend and everything. Xander was much cuter in the first 3 seasons and everything.

I think of Buffy as a whole, all the seasons but yes, I was going to miss the meetings at the library and the highschool years.

But then again, I was happy and excited for a new adventure in Buffy!
 
i know i cried. it was sad but i knew that the show was still going to continue after that so i wasn't really upset.
 
i cant even remember season 3.... but fear not guys 🙂 😀 found out ive got it for me bday on tuesday... so prepare to hear alot of posts from me on season 3 muhhahahahahahahahhahaha ( note wasnt suposed to know ..... )
 
Personally, I prefer the seasons after the high school days. New challanges, watching the characters grow and mature, and I think the writing was alot better. Don't get me wrong, I liked the first three seasons, but I think the show found itself in the later seasons.
