Cordelia open to Angel that she will sleep with Groo. That makes Angel very sad and jealous. After he helped her a lot with her problems he offers her money and ask her if she could stay away for some weeks when she slept with him. And Cordi takes the money and left. Was she selfish? Did she knew how much she hurt Angel?

I don't think she knew how much Angel liked her to be honest. It wasn't until later that she started to notice her feelings for Angel more in my opinion. I think she seen the money and time away as a sort of gift to her, rather than a way for Angel to keep his feelings and pain hidden at her and Groo.

So the money blended her?
At that point, I seriously doubt that either Angel or Cordy was fully aware of their true feelings for each other. In fact, it's quite possible that they never did really figure it out until it was too late. Opportunity lost and feelings not realized in time seem to be a couple of Joss' favorite themes, and he falls back on them on several occasions. Buffy, with both Riley and Spike, Willow, with Tara, Xander with Anya, and Giles with Jenny Calendar and possibly Joyce Summers, and Wes with Fred. Edgar Allen Poe said that the death of a loved one was always the greatest tragedy and the highest drama, and Joss seems to be in full agreement with him.

unfortunately....
I don't think Cordelia really realized how hurt Angel was. Given Cordelia's past and looking at how she was, she probably just saw it as an opportunity to go away for a while.

Pretty much this. I don't think Joss ever meant to make Cangel be a real couple. He's mean like that...

Yeah, I wouldn't say it was selfish of Cordy. Nothing was established between her and Angel and even if subconciously she wanted Angel to speak up, he didn't. In the end, Angel wanted her to be able to take a vacation and be happy for a bit away from all the visions and chaos. It was hard for me not to have her around for so long though!

I wouldn't say it was selfish, more like well-deserved.

I wouldn't say the money 'blinded' her as such. There's a few ways the situation could be read. I agree with the other posts though. I don't think they both realised quite how they felt. For Angel i think he knew that he liked her, but i think he resided himself as her not having those feelings back, so giving her the money as much as it being a genuine chance for her to get away for a while,it also gave him time to get his feelings sorted. As for Cordelia i think she was waiting for Angel to say that he had those feelings for her, and when he didn't she might have thought that she was reading the situation wrong, plus at the time she had Groo.

Selfish? No. Cordelia is old enough to make her own choices, and its not like she and Angel were an item at the time. Besides, that girl definitely deserved a vacation after the crap hand life dealt her and would deal her in the future.

Oh heavens no, going from friends to couple is complicated enough without a world in peril and superpowers in the mix, I don't think either Cordy or Angel were completely aware of their feelings at that point (if they were real or just something fleeting, we all get crushes every now and then 😉) and by that point, oh do I feel Cordy deserved a break. She had carried a lot of darkness on her shoulders since her move to LA and though she would make snide remarks and shallow comments she never really complained about things the way she could have done, she took a lot on her shoulders and by choice. She needed a break and I say good for her for taking it 🙂

She was not selfish in the least bit, and I don't think she had any clue how Angel felt about her, and clearly she hadn't realized her feelings yet.

She really deserved to get away and have a good time. Although, I really wish that she hadn't. :/
