Was Dawn Only Made From Buffy?

You know, the hair thing actually does make sense. For those who have read Game of Thrones or seen the T.V. show, they base quite a lot on that one detail.

I know I am months late on this one but I finally get this point! Haha. It's all about the hair ;)

So, I'm wondering since the monk's intentions were to send the Key to the slayer in the form of a sister, could Dawn theoretically be related to both Buffy and Faith, since they were the slayers.

Well, at some level Buffy, Faith and every other slayer ever are the same entity, I mean they all share memories and are powered by the same shadow demon, the only thing that changes is the host girl so yeah, why not? It's not like anything about Dawn makes any sense whatsoever.

I really like this concept; it's kinda fun and mind-blowing haha. Because I've always wondered about the Dawn details. Like we know she's made from Buffy and sent in the form of a sister but we never hear the specifics of HOW she was made from Buffy. I mean did they steal a clump of hair (hair again haha) and make magic DNA from it, or was it the slayer essence they used in which case is she would be "related" to both Buffy and Faith.
Also is she related to Joyce and Hank at all? Because from what little info we got, it seemed not....so that uts standing to the Buffy and Faith combo again.
And like people have said, her hair is totally different from both Buffy and Joyce (because I know Sarah was dying her hair, but it was always implied that Buffy was naturally blonde and we just had to ignore any roots!)....
Mind boggling!

My sisters and I each have a different hair color, so I don't put much stock in that. Lol

What they should have done was given Dawn slayer-like powers at some point and revealed they'd made her from the slayer power, like a precursor to the potentials all getting the slayer power.

That is exactly why I was so excited by 'Potential'. They made such a huge deal in S5 about Dawn being made out of Buffy that I just assumed that, at some point, it would turn out that she'd inherited some - or all - of Buffy's Slayer powers as well. When 'Potential' turned out to be a misdirect, I was waiting for the moment in 'Chosen' when Dawn would become a Slayer when the spell kicked in.

But, alas, my hopes were dashed.

But I just hate the idea of Dawn being 'The Key' was so wasted after S5. Dawn developing powers or some other complication from being The Key and being used would have gone a long way to helping Dawn's character and make her less hated within the fandom.
