Question Was Faith older than Buffy?

At first I thought Faith was older than Buffy because of her attitude, but I think she's actually younger than Buffy. Did Buffy ever refer to Faith as "little sister" or am I just imagining that? I swear she did, somewhere. That's what made me rethink Faith's age.

I think they have the same age but faith has had a difficult youth so, she has grows up more quickly than buffy.
In the season 3, faith is in an adult life while buffy lives her life of teenager.

I remember Faith saying 'all dressed up in big sister's clothes' which makes it sound like she was older than Buffy.

Yes but Buffy says in Faith's first episode:

Buffy: Now, this guy shows up two days ago, right? Right around the same time my bestest new little sister makes the scene.

I think Faith is younger but in graduation day when she refers to herself as the older sister its because she see it as she's leading Buffy down the path to where she is ready to kill Faith. She led her there by example, like an older sister. That's what I took it as anyway.

With all my comments it must look that I want to "defend" my first post in which I said Faith is older. What's not the case. I don't really care which is right. I thought I had an answer but it turned out to be non canon. There's no canon on the subject so it's guesses however we twist and turn trying to find evidence for one or the other. Add to that the fact that Buffy isn't a show about logic no matter how far we'll go to find it.

If that's the case, which it of course can be, couldn't the same go for Buffy calling Faith little sister? Buffy has been a slayer longer hence she's the "older" of the two? Leading/guiding Faith how to be a good slayer. Just a thought.

Yes it could be taken that way too. It's not said in the show so its all speculation and personal takes on the information we're given. There is no right or wrong.

I choose to believe Faith is younger, you choose to believe she's older 😀

I thought she was older. Now I don't care enough to choose. Just trying to give perspective.
