Was Glory's human body not her actual form?

My assumption would be yes. Glory's spirit was poured into the body of a human baby, Ben. She, just like Illyria, may not even be female (if she actually has any sex). This is somewhat backed up by Glory being unable in that form to do all her godly stuff.

I assumed she had a true form we didn't get to see. If I remember right, she was older than humanity so a human form wouldn't make sense.

My headcanon is that the Glory we saw was based largely on the type of woman Ben was first attracted to, who managed to wriggle free by taking that form.

Yeah, I'd assume her human form was a cage for her real form in her homeworld. She was powerful but not all powerful in such a fragile form. It was the only way she could be beaten. If she had got home, she was probably unbeatable, able to use the elements from home to destroy the buffyverse.

Yes, Glory was likely just an avatar of Glorificus the Beast, who was a hellgod worshipped by other monsterous creatures. The nature of his true form was never elaborated on, but was likely monsterous enough to dominate an entire demon universe.

Her target, Dawn, was supposedly a green sphere, so I don't get the idea that Glory was shown in her "real" form. But Giles sold her something from the Magic Box without even realizing who she was, so her "camouflage" was entirely consistent with what she wanted to do. Ordinary people suspected nothing.

Re: Who Is Glory?; Yeah, that's one of those story problems with Season 5, How does Glory find out about the Key? How does she do the dos si do with her utterly forgettable guy friend? I would prefer something like Glorificus influenced Ben to try magic at a slumber party, or say the wrong thing in Latin, allowing the transformation. But it makes a lot more sense for the Scabby Hobbit Folk to have assisted in fixing them.

I haven't heard 'dos si do" in years. I'm going to start using that, it's awesome! 😄
I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I believe that Glory, Jasmine, and Illyria were once allies, on another plane of existence. Jasmine and Illyria were part of the "uprising" that resulted in Glory being human. She was that annoying, even in her original form.. 😅
