I don't know. I kind of liked it because it was somewhat different but I didn't like it.

Riley ruined it I think.
 
I didn't like the whole Riley letting vamps bite him thing either!

But after he left the season really picked up and was great!
 
Season Five was when I first started watching Buffy and I have to admit it was better than good. Buffy was a major role model this season. She had such a close relationship with her mother, took care of her sister, and sacrificed her life to save her. The season finale was probably the best episode ever made, literally. I mean, the Slayer died. You just can't get any more dramatic and emotional than that!
 
I agree that Riley didn't bring anything good to the show... It was actually pathetic... I kind of made me stop watching for a while. But I liked Dawn beeing added, and that Buffy was more close to her mother. And the Willow Withcraft ,of course, and the season finle was great.
 
I thought it was a great season. I overlooked Riley cuz I didn't hate or love him. I think Glory was the greatest. She's my favorite character other than Buffy. The Body was incredible, not only for Buffy dealing with her mother's loss but how Anya's character was. She had no clue on the human emotion side and didn't know how to act. I felt so sorry for her in the dorm room. Being an ex-demon and feeling what they felt was hard. Great season.
 
Where's the option for "It was better than good, but not the best" ? 😉 I really liked most of S5, even the Riley bits. Glory was fun to watch, it was interesting watching Dawn and Buffy interact... Tara and Willow, Anya and Xander, plus everything just felt really interesting most of the time. But I can't say it was the best since my heart still belongs to season 3.
 
I really enjoyed Buffy after Riley left... he kind of slowed all the stuff i love about Buffy down, and thats not good!
 
it rocked.i thought the in the last 2 episodes riley was in he became quite an interesting character.and it was cool when he just flew away.not THE best season but one of the best.
 
I liked this season too. Riley left that was very good and the whole thing with Dawn. and I think that Glory was the greatest "Bad" they ever had. I also liked Spike getting on with the Scoobies, I think he was very good this season.

At last I would say after Season 4 this Season rocked!!
 
i don't know whether i'd say glory was better the mayor.not really got his wit.
 
I really liked season 5, it was really cool. i like how buffy started to look after her sister, and spike falling for buffy. riley did kinda ruin it though

It was the best season! The season got beter when Riley wasn't there, but it has to start somewhere.
I'm SO glad they brought Dawn into the picture, she's my favourite character! Glory and Ben were great! The Gift is the best episode ever!
 
I didn't like it at first but I have watched it over and over on video and I like it now. Spike is good but Riley is cardboard and annoying very often.
 
Riley did really spoil this season with his vamp encounters. It left Buffy to get on and the season definitely got better. The Body was an absolutely brilliant ep.😀
 
I thought it was ok. Although there was every reason to be it just got a bit too morbid and down beat some of the time. The final three episodes were excellent though, and among the best episodes.
 
I thought it was okay...the whole, Dawn being the Key and stuff kinda got boring after a while but it was good. I think that every Buffy season was good but I think season 1 was very good and season 6, but maybe that is because season 1 was the first and we were all just excited that it was here!🙂
