Was she loyal to the scoobies?

Certainly, I think she was loyal to them from season 1 and onwards, she might have talked a more shallow game but she never let anyone know about them (sure people might have thought she was crazy if she had but I still think she deserves credit for being initiated into this knowledge of the dark side and stepping up to the plate to be part of it rather than run and hide), she was there when they needed help (what limited help she could give) and even though she snarked at them sometimes I don't feel it was from a place of true dislike, it was just who she was - blunt - but a teenager so it came out harsh at times.
So I would certainly say that she was loyal.

I would say so... she never revealed Buffy's secrets, and when Jenny died she felt that loss as strongly as anyone else... she got speared, and betrayed and yet still kept their secrets and still continued to help them throughout season 3.
She also carried on with the 'mission' in LA, when she didn't necessarily have to, she was a great scooby, one of my favourites, and in some ways the one I admire the most, as she was the only one who helped for no reason, she wasn't tied by destiny, or love, or friendship, she just helped because she could.
Loyal? Usefull yes. Loyal? Yes. Even if she didn't show it as much as the other Scoobies she was always there for them and helped when they needed help. Maybe unwilling but she helped. She has her heart at the right place even if her egoism is very strong too!
Like everyone else has said, I think Cordy was loyal to the Scoobies. She played a very useful role, which I think was over looked because of her shallowness. She was great at the beginning of Season 2 when Buffy came back from LA with her attitude problem. She saw through it and she even put Buffy in her place about it. Willow and Xander didnt seem to know how to deal with her.
I think she was, in a way, more loyal to the cause than either Willow or Xander. If you think about it, Willow and Xander were Buffy's best friends, they had that emotional tie to the Scoobies. After Xander and Willow betrayed Cordy she had no real reason to stay loyal to them, yet she was there in the final battle of Season 3.

I definitely agree. I think it said a lot that he never told anyone about them. She could have easily told Harmony and the other Cordettes about the Scooby Gang just to have something to make fun of them for. By keeping their secret I always felt like she was showing gratitude and respect even if she never actually voiced it to them.

I think she was very loyal to the scoobies 🙂, in season 1 she thought they were weirdos but deep down inside she knew that they were helping Sunnydale from evil and that there are others than humans, that's why she came to Buffy for help in 'Out Of Mind Out Of Sight' she also helped Willow and Jenny in 'Prophecy Girl' she could of let them died but she didn't, she even stood up to Buffy in 'When She Was Bad' because she didn't like the way Buffy treated Angel and her friends. Other episodes I can think of is 'Ted' she helped the others figure out what Ted was up to and offered to help Giles patrol, she also gave the gang lifts for example 'What's My Line?' she didn't have to but she did and also helped to save Angel. Cordy also helped in 'Homecoming' she could of left Buffy to do all the work and just sit there but she didn't she found a weapon which is funny lol but she got the cowboy vampire to leave also when Buffy left Sunnydale for L.A she patrolled as bait and also patrolled in 'Dead Man's Party' Even after the whole Willow and Xander snogging she helped them out she was hurt but still helped the gang maybe not as much as before but she was still there, even times she didn't like 'Earshot' she kept going "Can I leave?" "What am I doing here?" but she still helped with the gang to find out who was going to kill all the students. Also she hated Buffy sometimes and could easily bring her and her friends down by telling everyone she is the slayer but she didn't she kept it a secert. I love Cordy 🙂 so yeah I do think she was loyal.
